Felt I was speaking to a wall during my appt. She never read the referral notes from my pcp, did not look at the paperwork requested I fill out & when discussing weight loss, I was told to eat less & work out more. I told her I am eating less, I eat the plate example 50% fruit and veggies, 25% of each meat and carbs. I work out 1 hr 3x a week and then figure skate 2 times week- opposite days, what am I doing wrong? No answer, she did not believe me & was fat shaming me, handing me the examples for the “plate” on how to eat. I do not drink soda, I do not eat sugar daily, I am celiac, allergic to dairy, fish, and so much more- this is why I was sent to her clinic. Told her I do not want to do fad diets, she then discusses meal replacement drinks, I cannot have them- written in my chart why. The moment I said I do have a treat after dinner from time to time, that was it, her face said it all. Then she passed me on to a dietitian, another 6 plus months wait. I received absolutely no… help, no answers, no path, nothing. If you want to be fat shamed and treated poorly, she is your ideal provider.
