Dr. Rachel Lauren Derr, MD

Dr. Derr is a great Dr. She is very kind and caring. She has always gone out of her way to address the root cause of the problem before rushing to medications. She is very thorough and fast in responding to concerns and communicating test results. I highly recommend her.

After two now cancelled appointments due to insurance referral issues they could very well themselves fix, and 0 contact from the actual doctor (who I saw for about 5 minutes per year). I'm moving on. Lawyers spend more time with clients and charge less for overall usage.

I was with Dr. Derr when she was at C-Med, and she is a fine physician; but like other patients, I've had terrible problems simply getting a prescription refilled. When my business changed my insurer, I tried for weeks to transfer the new insurance information to Dr. Derr's new office at Atlanta Endocrine Specialists : I called, after two weeks went by I called again, when there was no response I wrote Dr. Derr directly, all calls were done exactly as asked on their recorded message - and now that my medication has run out, I've changed physicians. It's really unfortunate that a good doctor is so poorly served by her staff.

Dr. Rachel Derr is a very compassionate and caring Doctor. Her diagnosis was very accurate and I have gotten excellent results from her treatment. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for an endocrinologist.

DR DURR is very nice and does a fine job controlling my diabetes. the problem is with her staff. They have three times order the wrong medicine for me. Each time I have to call office and talk to Candace who is very nice by the way and exchange what i received thru my mail order program for what i should have received the first time. Whats a guy to do?

I finally mustered up enough nerve to change my endocrinologist after 3 years of having to try to pry information out of this doctor. The hospital is a nightmare to navigate, and a fortune to pay for parking each time. A consultation with Dr. Derr literally lasts about 2-3 minutes, and once when I tried to honestly get some insight about some of my other symptoms I was experiencing that maybe could have been linked to my thyroid issue, she charged me an extra $52 (!!!!!), calling the appointment on my claim, "Dr. Appointment -Long." Long???? My questions took like an extra 2 minutes! Either she has too many patients or really needs to get her priorities in check. Not the least bit personable, either. Unfortunately all of these characteristics, despite her alleged esteemed education and certifications, do not earn her a recommendation from me.

This was my first visit to Dr. Derr. She was very attentive and patient. She also called me twice to give me my lab results which was very refreshing that she actually took the time to call herself and did not hand it off to someone on her staff. I highly recommend Dr. Derr
