Dr. Rachel E. Dew

She is completely in tune with the teenage mind. This is the first psychiatrist that my daughter has ever liked.

My overall experience with Dr. Dew could not be better! I respect her professionalism and dedication. Dr. Dew truly has all the qualities one could hope for in a great psychiatrist!I gladly make the 4 hr. drive to Duke University from Charlotte After visiting quite a few of the "top-rated" psychs in Charlotte I was disappointed with their "treatment". (One Dr. had 15 patients that were waiting anxiouslly. I waited as each went in and after 3-5 min they walked out with an RX in their hand to make seven-30 day follow-up appt! After a brief 10 min wait Dr. Dew personally came and introduced herself. Her office provides privacy and she has a steady, dissarming pace and took time to understand my situation and provided insights and options for current and future treatment while taking into consideration what had and had not worked for me in the past.She sat facing me tag notes on a pad yet often looking me in the eye. (instead of typing with her back to me!)Finally I felt that I could… be honest and open. She works with me to schedule follow up appointments. I've had to contact her twice by phone and both times she called me back personally within the hour! I'd strongly recommend Dr. Dew!
