Rachel Hinton, FNP-C

Rachel chose a career in nursing to make a difference in people’s lives. She decided to further her education and become a nurse practitioner to better serve her community and play an even larger role in the health of her patients.Rachel credits her mother’s strength and struggle with Parkinson’s disease as a major influence in her life. It taught her to continue to fight no matter what life gives you and to never give up no matter how hopeless it may seem. She is inspired when she is able to watch her patients as they move beyond their health issues and resume their daily lives without the burden of illness.Rachel has a special interest in oncology and endocrinology, as this field allows her to manage complex, lifelong metabolic conditions including diabetes and thyroid disorders, which have a direct impact on patient quality of life and long-term health outcomes. In her free time, Rachel enjoys spending time with her husband, children and granddaughter. She …also enjoys the outdoors and walking with her dog, Ruger. She loves to crochet and garden, both flowers and vegetables.I believe in treating my patients as unique individuals. I want every patient to feel that they are a vital partner in their own care. My goal is to have all my patients feel that they are listened to and that their personal health goals and needs are being met.
