Dr. Rachel Edith Kalter, DO

Waited 2 hours in waiting room for my appointment, spoke about my family member's health history with me (against HIPAA law). Will never go back to her. Other patients have felt the same and dropped her.

I have and will recommend Dr. Kalter. I never feel rushed, all my questions are always answered thoroughly and clarified if necessary. My concerns are listened to, and addressed. Test results are prompt and well explained. Great choice for me.

I saw Dr. Kalter in Chesterton. I found Dr. Kalter to be extremely thurl she listened and talked with me. I had a very comfortable experience. I felt she sincerely cared I wasn't treated like just another number. I will continue to see Dr. Kalter and I would definitely recommend her. If your looking for a family Dr. Give her office a chance. Clean, friendly office. My appointment was scheduled properly I didn't have to wait to see the dr. I saw her at the time I was scheduled to see her. I'm not one to leave reviews but was so impressed I have to leave a review. Thank you Dr. Kalter!

I was in search of a primary physician and an acquaintance referred me to Dr Kalter. I had my medical records from my previous horrible primary physician faxed to her on 1/19/16 of which her staff claimed they had not received. Her assistant was arrogant, pushy, rude and kept cutting me off. I was very ill and she showed no compassion whatsoever. I walked and overheard her say to the receptionist, "She's attitudinal," of which I replied, "Yea, right." Good 'ol obamacare at its finest. Stay away. Stay far away.

Dr. Kalter was my dr. For about 4-5 yrs.(get it was).....upsides wr. Grt-she had an awesome bedside manner n would listen to u,but wn. Ur in there crying in pain n her herself wont even tell u that she wont do anything for it(had the receptionist tell me).....thats wn. I knew she didnt care as much as she pretended too.....the only time i wd. Go see her was wn. I was sick n needed an antibiotic,then i . Started getting cyst problems on my ovary again(she did give me pain meds 2 times fot that-it...was like the size of a golf ball)......then sets me up with an obgyn specialist(too later find out wn. She wasnt doin much n horrible bedside manner)that she was only a nurse practitioner......so as u see i wasn't just out for pain meds.,-but show a little compassion n concern !!!!!!!!!

Great physician and staff.

Dr. Kalter was my physician for well over 10 years. She was the most considerate, most friendly, sweetest and most intelligent doctor that I have ever had. She is well worth the wait that you might have to get an appointment but to me that means that she is busy and loved by her patients. She will take all the time you need to talk indepth about all your concerns and problems, she never rushes off. She offers samples if appropriate and always follows-up when it is needed. Her office staff, Dolores and Lisa, were the most conscientious and always a pleasure to deal with. She is not my doctor now only because I moved out of state. I would recommend her to anybody and give her a 10+ star rating!

I have always felt Dr. Kalter was a caring provider. She takes the time go over your concerns. First doctor I've had that I felt comfortable speaking with. Her staff has always been friendly and courteous to me. On the downside sometimes the wait is longer than I'd like but that is because she does spend the time with each patient and not rushing you out.

This doctor was incredibly insensitive. Her staff did not return phone calls and no one responded with timeliness nor courtesy, even for a serious health concern. F- for bedside manner when I was in severe pain. Not someone you want to work with if you want a family doctor who actually cares about you.
