Dr. Rachel Ida Mandel, MD

For the first time in many years, and after numerous visits to other optical specialists who did not seem to care or have time to thoroughly exam my sight, I made an appointment to see Dr. Rachel Mandel last month. I explained to her that my previous experience with both Optometrists and Ophthalmologists in the past ten years or so was never satisfactory in my opinion, I was assured by both Dr. Mandel and her receptionist, that eye health was the most important thing to consider, and a thorough understanding of my eye concerns could be expected from any eye professional. Dr. Mendel then took the time necessary to exam my eyes and sight, gave me a complete understanding of my concerns, and took the necessary time to do what I consider, a thorough and proper refraction for my glasses., and provided me with a new prescription for glasses. I took my prescription to Optical specialists, Smith & Wight who again provided excellent service and advise, and yesterday I received my new… glasses. I can honestly say I have never seen more clearly in the last number of years and I attribute this to the professional care and services provided by Dr. Rachel Mandel. She has most certainly earned the highest rating I can provide and I would unreservedly recommend her professional eye care to anyone.
