Dr. Rachel Stover, MD

Incredibly rude horrible person and was the worst experience with a doctor ever. She scolded my dad for not taking his medication even though it wasn’t the time of day for him to do so yet, she didn’t let us explain this, and then she threw her stethoscope aside in a fit. Then told us to look for a different doctor. We would GLADLY.

This office is very disorganized and every single employee seems stressed out and massively rushed. Not a place where you feel like anyone is paying attention to your medical needs or conditions. You will be just an insignificant number amongst the thousands of people this PCP sees. Go elsewhere.

Unprofessional and unplanned appointments

I went in with severe pain at 4:30 and said I would wait to quickly speak to the PA. No one came to speak to me .when the receptionist wanted to close up for the day he asked the PA what to do. He came out to reception to tell me no one would would see me and I should leave. I ended up in the emergency room!

I can't recommend this doctor to any of the people I used to, She laughs at her patients and has no regard for their time. She had a long line of patients one day and was sitting around gossiping about other patients and eating m&m's while everyone waited for her.

Appointment was on time. Dr. Stover does a great job explaining any medical issues you have.

Really cares about me and makes sure that I leave completely informed!

I have been seeing Dr Stover for years but I will be looking a new doctor! Care is going down hill. Dr Stover is rude and uncaring. Staff changes a lot. Dr Stover is more about money then patient care. My office visits have been over billed time and time again. Visits feel more rushed everytime I see her .

Dr. Stover on her own is a competent enough physician, it's her office staff that needs improvement. Even if you've been there the week before, they won't remember who you are, you're just a number. In the last 3 weeks I've been asked 3 times if I want a flu shot (which I had at their office in November.) I would think that would be on my chart and in their computer system. They are also rude, curt and argue with each other in front of you. On multiple visits I have witnessed her office staff argue with each other at the front desk in full view of the patients. Highly unprofessional in my opinion. My last visit for my physical, I was on time, they took my vitals, had me change into a hospital gown and I was informed the doctor would see me next. 45 minutes later, Dr. Stover finally showed up. She didn't even know why I was there. I said "my physical". Shouldn't that be on her chart? I told her how long I'd been waiting and she was shocked and immediately said, "I didn't know you were… here, I saw the patient after you." Not my problem and hardly an apology for negligence on her staff. I expect her staff to do their job properly and let her know I'm there. She told me I should tell the office manager Sherry. I gave her a look. That's really her job. It's not my job to scold her employees for not doing their jobs properly. She even said, "Maybe I should say something." You think? They rushed me through my physical and out the door with nary an apology. I then called back the next day and spoke to the "manager" Sherry. And while she said she was very sorry I was forgotten about and left waiting half naked for 45 minutes all she did was give a string of excuses- how the room should be flagged and the assistant did, but someone else took the flag down, blah blah blah. I asked for another appointment to finish my physical, I wanted to talk about my meds which Dr. Stover usually does and she told me I would have to pay for another appointment. Wow, really?! I wish I could say this is a one time occurrence. It's not. I have had continual problems renewing prescriptions with her assistant. When I leave a voice mail I usually have to call again because the assistant never returns your calls in a timely manner. One time her assistant even said you didn't leave your full name so I didn't call you back. I informed her I had (twice- once at the beginning and once at the end, along with my phone number.) her first reaction was to point a finger and blame me, the patient for her incompetence. My pharmacy has had to fax refills multiple times because her assistant/staff do not respond to their requests. It usually takes them 2 or 3 tries. This usually means I am often out of meds due to the slow response from her staff. Needless to say I'm looking for a new primary care physician and unless you want to be treated like dirt I advise you to look elsewhere too.

I've never been particularly impressed with Dr. Stover's bedside manner, but recently it's gotten worse. This past week at my annual physical I mentioned to her that I have been having chest pain for a while. It comes and goes, but it keeps me from doing things that I would normally enjoy doing. I thought it might be related to my asthma. She told me that I was being ridiculous by bringing it up and asked me what it prevented me from doing. I told her that it prevents me from exercising like I would like to and then she told me that it's stupid of me to try to exercise if I have chest pain. She asked me what I wanted her to do about it and I said I didn't know (that's why I was mentioning it to her; if I knew what to do I would have done it) and then she told me that she couldn't do anything about it because if she referred me to a specialist or referred me to get any tests done they would scoff at me because I'm too young to have cancer. Then she repeated that there is nothing she… could do and she didn't know why I would bring that up. I was shocked and dismayed by how rude she was to me. I plan to never return to see her and I wouldn't recommend that anyone else start seeing her.
