Dr. Rachel Swim, MD

First off she works for womens hospital which is a joke. Rude nurses that could care less. She talked my wife into a procedure which she told her would fix her pain that she has been experiencing the last 6 months. She walks into the procedure today and asks what my wife's pain level is. My wife said an 8. This doctor had the audacity to say "well I'm not sure if this procedure is even going to help" my wife was about in tears. On top of that whatever nurse was responsible for my wife after surgery neglected to put a pad on her afterwards so she bled through her clothes. This hospital does not care and swim is a joke. We will be filing a formal complaint with the hospital and beyond that if needed.

I would not recommend this doctor. She wasn't very informative during my first pregnancy, and when you would have a question, she would answer it arrogantly. When I was in labor she called me on the hospital phone to tell me I was going to have to have a c-section. I asked her to come in and explain why it had to take place since the nurses were not being transparent about what was happening. She acted as if I was inconveniencing her. Her bed side manner and communication is horrible. She's only forthcoming if you ask her to be. She doesn't voluntarily provide information to educate you.

Very knowledgeable and helpful. Short appointments but always willing to answer questions, now after seeing how many patients they have at this hospital I can understand the short doctor visits. Great in the delivery room and checked on us both days after our son was born. Very thankful for her.

Dr. Swim is kind, knowledgeable and follows current medical guidelines. It seems like previous reviewers wanted to see her for her expertise but didn't like what they heard. In our interactions, she has been nothing but kind and caring. She is thorough and always addressed my concerns to my satisfaction. Her office is great and she keeps busy and I can see why.

daughter came in for a yearly pap, she refused to do it stating insurance recommends a pap once every 3 years, even though when scheduling, we told them we want YEARLY pap and we will pay if not covered, insurance does NOT dictate our health. She still did not do pap or a breast exam, she told my daughter that "girls your age do not get breast cancer (my daughter is 24). I know a girl that got breast cancer at 16, is it rare? Probably but it CAN happen. Stay far away from this doctor!!!!!!!!!!!

As a nurse who works in the health setting I was very disappointed in the way dr.swim treated me. Horrible bedside manner. Came off as I didn't know what I was saying even though I know my body the best. She made the entire exam uncomfortable and awkward. She was a very cold person.
