Dr. Rachel Marie Torrez, MD

Overall happy with the service I receive.

Our entire family has switched to Dr. Torrez since meeting her a year ago. I have referred many friends and family because I am confident they will have an experience that will differ greatly from most doctors. She is thorough, patient, genuinely interested and truly follows up with every question. And most importantly, she personally returns phone calls!

Dr. Torrez is exactly what I want her to be, a great family doc for our entire family. There have been times that one of us has come down with something that was out of her scope. And times when we went with her rec., but later realized that we should of been seeing a specialist. She is great for child check-ups, physicals, general ailments, vaccines, etc. We see a specialist when a specialist is needed. Her location is perfect for us and she is always available to get us in when things are urgent.

I found the office staff friendly and felt very comfortable there. My first few visits, I felt good about Dr. Torrez and the only main downside was that wait times tended to be longer than I'm used to. But, I began showing symptoms of insulin resistance, and Dr. Torrez just gave me a big lecture about eating less carbs. I felt like there had to be more of an answer out there, so I shared my concerns about with my gynecologist, who immediately referred me to an endocrinologist, and it was EXACTLY what I needed. I will not be returning to Dr. Torrez, because I feel she should have known to refer me to a specialist when I had symptoms outside her area of expertise.
