Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:For as long as I can remember I wanted to be a family provider. Life took me down a longer route to get to this dream. I went back to school for nursing when my children were little. I worked in labor and delivery for 3.5 years and then with Oncology and medical surgical for 4 years while I pursued my Master's degree. I loved being a bedside nurse and supporting my patients. I wanted to pursue continuing my education because I love learning and wanted to be able to offer more to my patients. Throughout my master's program I concentrated on family medicine across the lifespan. I enjoy having variety in my daily schedule and seeing patients of all ages. What I want my patients to know about me:Developing a relationship with my patients is very important to me. I want to offer an opportunity for open communication and support for every patient that I see. My focus is on health maintenance and disease prevention. What I do when I'm not seeing …patients:I have a large family and enjoy spending time with them and cheering my kids on at their soccer, basketball and field hockey games.
