Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:Academically, I loved math and science. This coupled with a interest in nutrition, health and wellness and a desire for job security, it seemed that medicine was a natural choice.What I want my patients to know about me:I was never so filled with awe as when I attended deliveries of babies when on rotation in the neonatal intensive care unit. That moment when a child is born is life changing and a privilege to experience. It is a time when medical interventions can mean the difference between life and death.What I do when I'm not seeing patients:I enjoy yoga, running, strength training and meditation. I am constantly trying out new recipes, as my interest in nutrition has never waned. My family and I enjoy the Delaware shore in addition to slowly making our way to visiting all 50 states.
