Dr. Rachelle N Bitton, MD

Been a patient of Dr. Bitton’s for 15 years. She is always on point, personable and always reassuring. Responds to emails within 8 hours for quick questions. The office is busy, but always responsive with prescriptions and bloodwork. The wait is never long. I have referred many patients over the years and all have been very pleased.

I can't believe she is still practicing! She was my endo years ago. She was very condescending and rude. She changed my insulin's and didn't have the patience to help me figure out how to use them. She switched me because my body was no longer responding well to the old NPH and Regular. Sugars would go no lower than 250. When she switched insulins, I could not get below 350! Made appointments for adjustments twice, and she never even came into the room. After some not so pleasant back and forth, she over adjusted my insulin. Two low blood sugar seizures later, and her nurse Jane (amazing, BTW) helped me out. At that point doctor (ha!) Bitton told me that if I didn't see her, I was no longer allowed to see her nurse, Jane. This after having me wait in her office from 11:15am until I HAD to leave after 4pm, and she still had not taken the time to come in the room and acknowledge that I was still waiting to be seen. I would rather die than go back to seeing her for an endo. Because of her… I went well YEARS without seeing an Endo because her care left me feeling defeated. Thank goodness I now have a WONDERFUL Endo, not affiliated with her nor any of her facilities.

I been trying to call them for 3 days ! Phone rings, automated system comes on instructing you to hold for next available person, No one answers !! Thank God there’s other doctors out there

Dr. Bitton has been a concerned physician. She takes time to answer questions and explain medications. But....the office is IMPOSSIBLE to reach. I waited 28 minutes for a receptionist to pick up the phone When i asked why it took so long she responded by saying “ I’m only one person.” When I told Dr. Bitton about the situation she told me to call her office manager and gave me the phone number. The problem with that was, the line seems to be always busy or broken. Very poor management of an office if it’s IMPOSSIBLE to reach someone to make or change an appointment.

Dr. Bitton is caring, understanding, professional and a brillant doctor.

My daughter turned 18 and we were referred to her office. We've been twice. the Doctor seems very knowledgeable and thorough, but seemed rushed and rattled off what we should do regarding prescriptions, etc. When I took my daughter for testing, the results were deliver by an assistant, and when I was concerned and questioned the results, the doctor never called me herself - just the assistant again. I recently left several messages on the office voicemail regarding questions I had, and NEVER got a call back. When I took my daughter to another doctor to prescribe another medication, that PA wanted to discuss it with Dr. Bitton before prescribing. She left a message and after two weeks has not heard back from Dr Bitton.

Outstanding and compassionate physician

I took my 18 year old daughter to see Dr. Bitton . She had been recommended by another doctor and seemed to be graded highly in patient reviews. After waiting nearly an hour and a half beyond our scheduled appointment time to see the doctor, she seemed distracted and took calls during our appointment. She prescribed a drug and told my daughter not to take it until certain test results came back. When my daughter called a week later, we had difficulty reaching someone to find out the results of the test. Someone from the Doctor's staff eventually called to back say she should start taking the medication. A few weeks later, someone else from her staff (not the doctor) called to say she did not have to take it. What I found alarming was there was no record of the first call advising her to start taking the medication and the flip/flop of advice. Very sloppy recordkeeping. We have since changed doctors.

Waited over six months for an appointment and she barely gave me 5 minutes. Didn't discuss any test results, was very flippant. When asked about blood tests, she said to speak to my regular doctor, Never follows up herself.
