Dr. Radhakrishna Rao Kalakuntla, MD

The front desk staff woman i spoke with was very friendly, helpful and nice. My experience started out great until doctor Radakrishna Kalakuntla came in . Doctor “K” came into the room rude from the start . I was referred to him for chronic constipation, gas and bloating. He continuously pressed me on medication i was taking for another condition totally unrelated to why i was there (medication prescribed by my rheumatologist for my diagnosed autoimmune disorder). He was so focused on the medication and my other conditions and continuously undermined my chronic condition. He then blurted out to me he would not prescribe me anything , as if i had ever asked him to, again insinuating that i was looking for some sort of drug. I simply wanted to make sure the chronic constipation and other symptoms i was experiencing wasn’t something more serious. He kept telling me it was due to the medication i was on , which i agreed with but was looking for a SOLUTION and instead was met by insults to… my autoimmune disorder! He also questioned me about a recent surgery i had for a hernia repair and AGAIN questioned me on the prescription i received afterwards. I informed him that i was prescribed the medication but i never took it because i did not need it for the pain after the procedure and instead took Tylenol. He went as far as to tell me “a doctor will prescribe anything you ask for if you go there telling him something is wrong” again making assumptions. He then proceeded to tell me my pain (from my autoimmune condition) is ALL IN MY HEAD. So i told him , “sir, i have an AUTOIMMUNE DISORDER that’s not going away ever, so my symptoms have to be managed some way, somehow.” He then went to google on his phone to look up my condition and also looked up the medication i was taking. He constantly went to his phone during our visit and each time the room fell silent . He began to tell me i had to eat clean food and exercise (assuming that i don’t already do so) to stop the pain and also told me to stop taking my prescription medication for my other conditions. I thought i was there for my stomach ? So i told him that’s not what my rheumatologist recommends . I was so mind blown because who did he think he was to A. Make assumptions about me on a first visit B. Tell me to stop my prescriptions C. To be rude and arrogant So ,I no longer wanted to talk to him and was not going to argue. so i let him talk and kept saying “Ohk thank you” so that we could stop this appointment but he continued to insult me and talk. He then asked for a follow up (which didn’t make sense because he just told me “nothing was wrong with me”) and i told him i will NOT do a follow up. He then proceeded to ask me not to write a bad review on google about him and pressed the issue, almost as if he could feel that i was completely unhappy and told me that “if i had something to say then say it there not on google”. Who are you to tell me i can’t write my review on google and i never told you i would do that? The absolutely worst experience i have ever had with any doctors . I am convinced he is a racist and doesn’t like like black people. This is discrimination at its finest. He basically said if i something to say say it to his face . What type of doctor does that !! So here i am writing the bad review he asked me not to because again , who did he think he was.

Unfortunately I can't give 0 stars. Can you imagine a doctor, who did not even look at yoiur records, but kept asking "Why did you come to see me and you regular doctors?" I said I am in pain and need prescriptions and can't get appointment with my regular doctor within a month. He said that a month wait is not a big deal ( considering I told him was in pain) and again the same refrain-Why did you come to see me? Can't even call him a doctor-0 empathy and same for medical ethics

Amazing doctor with great knowledge and helped with the diagnosis fast and accurate. Thank You Doc.
