Dr. Radhika Chugh, MD

Worst doctor I have ever dealt with. Went in for testosterone therapy due to levels way below normal. She insisted that i perform an absolute gambit of tests and studies over the course of 6 months, including an entirely unnecessary mammogram (i am male and gave no indication of BREAST cancer). After the majority of the studies and retests (yes retests. she forced me to get retested numerous times because she didnt "like" the initial results), it was looking like test therapy was within reason. Shortly before my follow up with her she sent a letter detailing my "bioavailable" testosterone, and the "normal" range for a healthy male my age. My number fell within the range. But it seemed odd, so i looked it up, and sure as Hell every peer reviewed medical journal said the ACTUAL range is much higher than my level. Radhika Chugh literally fabricated false information to justify denying me a therapy i need. This woman should be sued for malpractice.

This review isn strictly based off of my experience with Dr. Radhika Chugh. I moved from Arizona, to Oregon for work and being this was the closest endocrinologist to me I decided to give her a shot. WORST DECISION I have ever made, and I will explain why. Her demeanor with me from the beginning was pretty rude. She seems to be a "know it all" type of doctor who has only been practicing medicine for a few years, as she isn't a day over 32. I'll give you some background on me. I am a decently controlled type 1 diabetic (mid 7's a1c), who have been diabetic for 22 years now. Im currently 26. I am pretty fit for my age(or so I'd like to think), and I workout every day. While I am not a perfect diabetic, I have never been hospitalized, had to take glucagon, gone into DKA or Hypoglycemia, or have any underlying issues caused by diabetes. My kidneys, eyes, and blood flow is great, and I have them monitored by lab work constantly. When I moved states recently, and needed to apply for a… CDL, I called her office to ask for a recommendation for the DOT required medical history as I saw her 3 months ago, and her exact response was "you are uncontrolled, and I can't put my name behind you." To which I was astonished. Like I said before I know I am not perfect, I don't know any diabetic who is. But to bar me from getting a job, solely based on a condition to which she is supposed to be helping people with really rubbed me the wrong way. I mean again, I know I'm not perfect and yes I could improve my a1c, but mid to low 7's and no hospitalizations for 22 years isn't what I would call "uncontrolled" Long story short, I ended up using my childhood endocrinologist for 20 years who was happy to vouch for me.
