I have only had one visit with Ms. Iams while she has been filling in for Dr. Iverson - nevertheless, I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an empathetic, thoroughgoing, proactive, and knowledgeable provider. When I saw her I was initially impressed with her manner of listening to me as I explained an injury I'd had to my left shoulder; she wasn't just "hearing me," but, rather, absorbing every detail I mentioned in order to make a carefully considered confident decision as to what needed to be done. This was in addition to a very meticulous, "all bases covered" examination of my shoulder. Her explanation to me of what she thought was going on was precise, detailed, and easy to understand. Verdict was: I needed to get to the ER asap for x-rays and further treatment - and since I couldn't drive at that point owing to the injury, she said she would take me there herself and call ahead to let the staff know I was coming and why. And she did! - she actually took the time… to personally see that I got to that ER safely without doing anymore damage to the shoulder. Now if that isn't going "above and beyond," I don't know what is! Thanks to her care and concern, I received the treatment I needed that day and am recovering comfortably now. Again, in sum, I feel very confident about referring anyone in need of medical expertise complemented by sensitive concern for patient wellbeing to Ms. Iams. She is truly a caregiver in the thorough sense of the word.
