Dr. Raed Halim Azzam, MD

Dr. Azzam has been my neurologist for three years after I was diagnosed with genetic epilepsy. He's a fantastic doctor and provides excellent care. I've never felt rushed during appointments or unsure of their recommendations or instructions. The staff at his office is always friendly and professional.

I was at the end of the road in my battle with severe muscle cramps throughout my entire body. Every other Dr I saw gave me different opinions of what they felt I had wrong with me. I honestly can say, the pain is so very terrible, when my muscle cramps hit, I would fall down, and every muscle and tendon in my body would pull so tightly I thought they would snap. .. needless to say, I also noticed my muscle mass was being chewed up or wasting away, at a alarming rate. . Sadly, about this time, my pain MGMT team (and pretty much all pain Drs) jumped on board with this new cut back in medicine's. I've been a 25 yr awesome pain patient, did everything I was told, always complient. Never failed a U.N.A, OR RANDOM MED COUNT. Tried alternative holistic treatments. After 25 yrs, without 1 blemish, well, that's something I am proud of. So just when my illness started to take over my normal life, couldn't get up without legs cramping, taking me down to the floor crying in agony. , I could no… longer do things I enjoyed before, fishing, walking park trails, even getting to the store. My pain was constant and terrible, but yet I was told I had to start cutting back on my meds. (Dr said everyone has too cut back, due to the 2018 opioid reduction act..) So I did what they said, and to be honest , I often wonder if it's worth it anymore. To be in such pain, and no one can adjust the pain control or even do a block of the affected areas, something to give me my life back... after years of hearing excuses, or guesses, and now we pain patients, are made to truly suffer because of other people doing illegal stuff. And not one Dr. Will stand up for the suffering patient and say, I will do what is in the best interest of my SUFFERING PATIENT.. BUT NOW A DAYS DR'S WON'T EVEN THINK OF DOING THAT, ALL THIS LEAVES ME FEELING hopeless. BUT THIS IS REALLY ANOTHER TOPIC, I only mentioned it because it does relate to the hard struggles I have to go through. But when I just about got to the end of my rope, I met DR AZZAM. I REALLY TRULY LIKED THE MAN.. HE TOLD ME HE FEELS I HAVE A CONDITION CALLED MUSCLE MYOPATHY, BUT REALLY LEANS TOWARDS ME HAVING MYOTONIA.. HE HAD COMPASSION IN HIS VOICE. BUT I TRULY APPRECIATED HiS HONESTY. HE SAID, THERE IS A DR WHO HE ONCE TRAINED WITH., WHO BASICALLY WROTE THE BOOK ON MY CONDITION. And if this Dr couldn't find answers for me, no one could.. I see this specialist in a few days, ( it took almost a year to get in.) During my wait, I had several bouts of intractable muscle pain, with nerve numbness going down my left side of my face.... DR. AZZAM AND HIS TEAM, WERE SO WONDERFUL, THEY WOULD HAVE ME DIRECTLY ADMITTED INTO THE HOSPITAL. IT'S VERY RARE FOR DOCTORS TO BYPASS THE EMERGENCY ROOM... I TELL YOU I WAS SO VERY GRATEFUL FOR DR. AZZAM DOING IT THIS WAY, I ABSOLUTELY HATE GOING TO THE E.R.. HONESTLY, THERE HAVE BEEN TIMES WHEN I G9AVE UP AND WENT HOME (AFTER WAITING 5 HR'S) I TRULY AM IN DEBT TO DR. AZZAM, HE WILL NEVER FULLY UNDERSTAND JUST HOW MUCH, HIS PRESENCE IN MY LIFE, GIVES ME HOPE TO FIGHT ON.. ONLY THING THAT WOULD BE SOMETHING I LIKE TO SEE WORKED ON IS HOW LONG IT TAKES TO GET IN FOR A APPOINTMENT.. BUT THEN AGAIN, ID WAIT FOR YRS IF THAT'S WHAT IT TOOK TO SEE EXCELLENCE.. ID TRULY LIKE TO TELL EVERYONE, IF You ARE HAVING PROBLEMS RELATING TO NERVE ISSUES. IF YOU ARE AT THE END OF YOUR ROPE, OR JUST CANNOT GET ANSWERS, PLEASE GO SEE DR AZZAM. YOU CERTAINLY WOULD NOT REGRET IT.. DR. AZZAM,. HIS NURSE PRACTICER, HIS OFFICE STAFF, ARE THE BEST THERE IS... MY NAME IS ROB H. AND I STAND BEHIND EVERY WORD I JUST STATED ...God bless all of you WONDERFUL PEOPLE. WHEN YOU THINK YOU JUST HAD ENOUGH GO ONE MORE DAY.. (MIRACLES CAN HAPPEN IN THAT DAY...)

Dr. Azzam might be a few minutes late to your appointment but that is just because he takes time for each patient. He listens carefully to you and gets all of your concerns addressed before you leave.He asks you questions and cares that you understand. I would and have, highly recommend Dr. Azzam to my family, friends and all.

He is very understanding and is able to relate very well.
