Dr. Raed Rahman, DO

Raed Rahman, D.O., joined City of Hope® Cancer Center located in Lake County, Illinois, in July 2011 as an interventional pain medicine physician, where he helps patients manage pain, improve quality of life and reduce dependence on medications, when possible.After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in biology at Saint Xavier University in Chicago, Dr. Rahman earned an osteopathic medical degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University. He then completed an internal medicine internship in addition to an anesthesiology residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. He also completed an interventional pain medicine fellowship at the University of Chicago Medical Center.Dr. Rahman has served as a clinical research investigator for pain management and anesthesiology research studies conducted at the University of Chicago Medical Center and Cook County Hospital. He has also presented on anesthesiology and pain management topics at local, regional and national …clinical conferences.Dr. Rahman is board certified in anesthesiology, pain medicine, and hospice and palliative medicine, enabling him to manage patients with acute, chronic or cancer pain. He performs several state-of-the-art interventional pain medicine procedures, including peripheral and spinal cord nerve stimulators, kyphoplasty, nerve blocks of somatic, sympathetic and visceral cancer pain syndromes, and implanted infusion devices (pain pumps).
