Dr. Rafael Amaro, MD

I read Dr Amaro's reviews and experience online and thought he would be good. However when I went in for an appointment and told him I had been having digestive problems for about a month, all he was interested in was getting me in for a colonoscopy (money),he did give me a package to do a stool test at home and mail in. I never received the results for that test before the colonoscopy. After the procedure he said the stool test did show an infection, he would review the results and the office would call me for a follow up appointment. After 10 days I had to go into the office to get them to even review the results. A few days later I received a call from an office girl telling me the results and telling me that Dr Amaro said to take medication for diarrhea. I told her I no longer had diarrhea, I now had constipation. Of course she didn't know what to do. She put me on hold and came back and said "Well then don't take anything and come back in." Dr Amaro was on vacation. The… first appointment was a month after the colonoscopy, also I will not see the Doctor, he will not be available. So I have been having digestive problems for 3 months and Never been given any help. I don't know where all the good reviews are coming from, I have had nothing but BAD.

Dr. Amaro performed my colonoscopy exam. He and his team are excellent both at the office and clinic. Everything went smoothly from the pre-prep to the exam. My preparation was not bad. I was told to buy over the counter medicine instead of the horrible prescription other doctors make you take. They are attentive to your needs and make sure all goes well before and after the exam, My appointment took place with no wait time. It was fast. I was communicated of the results before I left the clinic. I highly recommend him. Outstanding service!

Colonoscopies are never fun to go through buy Dr Amaro and his team are absolutely top notch. They are caring, efficient, knowledgeable and most important, kind. My appointment took place without extra wait time and their follow up care is outstanding!!

Dr. Amaro is an outstanding doctor who performed a colostomy on my 92 year old wife after cancer treatment. He is a kind and caring doctor who look after his patents both before and after the procedures. I would highly recommend him for any colostomy procedures. Robert Wemheuer
