Dr Beltran has been very caring and professional. I only have good things to say about him.

Doctor was fair, but staff was very unhelpful and would not work with my 3rd party to cover the high co-pays at all! They wanted me to do it all, being ill. No help at all!

Not only will he push his religion, and racist thoughts on you, but you will wait a minimum of 1.5-2 hours past your scheduled appointment to be seen, every time.

I was interrupted, belittled and blatantly judged based on my appearance and cause of trauma. I left his office more traumatized than when I arrived. If you are not qualified to treat specific types of trauma, or if you are uncomfortable with how someone looks or lives their life... then Speak Up instead of dismissing your own inabilities while further complicating a patient's recovery. Wish I known he would discriminate his patients based on his religious beliefs. GROSSLY UNETHICAL PRACTICE. I do not recommend this so-called health care* professional if your path to regaining control of your life doesn't fit in a small perfectly square, manageable box. Also, immediately throwing pills at your patient's distress is the biggest cop-out.. don't let your MD drive down Easy Road.

I am 61 --- and this Doctor is the best doctor I have ever seen in my life --- since I HAD to leave a horrible shrink after 3 yrs. This man got me on track with my meds ------- and we both realized that my ex doctor was causing me HUGE health problems -- year after year AFTER YEAR. Plus you will love him personally !

What a wonderful person. Dr. Beltran really cares about his patients and easily makes them feel comfortable enough to talk. I have recommended him to several friends now. He helped me not only with medication management but therapy as well to understand who I am and how I can better myself. There is quite a wait to see him sometimes but it is definitely worth it. I can't seem to justify some of the negative reviews on here about him. He is a great doctor and actually takes time to listen to you.

I am a newer patient. He put me on meds but I am having severe issues. Not sure if they are related to the meds or not. I called and asked if he could call me back. Told them I was suicidal. Was told he's too busy today to call me back. I like Dr Beltran a lot. I think he's knowledgeable. But his office staff is the absolute worst.

My psychologist referred me to Dr. Rafael Beltran for medication. From the beginning, his behavior was discourteous. He bombarded me with questions I didn't understand, refused to reword them so I could, then treated me as if I were the one being difficult. In my last session with Dr. Beltran, he said something that implied that he did not believe the mental illness my psychologist diagnosed me with was real (it's listed in the DSM-IV-TR, and is officially recognized as such by the American Psychiatric Association), but refused to elaborate on the remark when I asked him to. I told him with all due respect that I did not feel comfortable receiving treatment for an illness from a doctor who doesn't believe the illness exists. He told me that what I wanted in a psychiatrist wasn't important, and even went so far as to compare my discomfort with that of someone who would refuse to hire me for a job because I'm Muslim. The latter is a broken analogy; it's no more rational for a doctor… to fancy himself qualified to treat a disease he doesn't believe in than it would be for me to apply for a job as a Catholic priest. When I politely stood my ground on the matter, he repeatedly interrupted me, talked over me, then started discussing my medications with my husband as if I wasn't in the room. We both left Dr. Beltran's office appalled by his childish attitude and lack of professionalism. Whether or not he believes in my illness is now a moot point, as it is clear that he doesn't even respect his patients' right to make informed decisions about their own health care. That is unacceptable behavior for a doctor, and I will not be returning.

I'm looking for a doctor and my search lead me to Dr Beltran Durango. After analyzing the data presented before me its apparent to me that the full star ratings are an attempt to to recover from multiple negative reviews. They're are quite a number of successful companies that provide the service of creating fake profiles on sites like this one to help businesses recover from negative online feedback. This is what I suspect has happened her. Look at the number of reviews and the content of the responses. A reacquiring phrase "he cares about his patients." The fact that it's either 1 star or 5 stars across the board (with slight deviation for credibility on minor, "acceptable" flaws. ) doesn't it seem logical that there would be some type of in-between data with a total number of reviews this high?? I don't know this man, but something is fishy here. I repeat, I'm not a doctor, but I am a analyst. Most of the time crazy people are smart; we just need help and guidance. We got… to lookout for each other and be careful, Proceed with caution. "When a rabbit cries out in the night, the fox comes a' running; but surely not to help."
