Rafael Martinez, MD, FCCP

Dr. Rafael Martinez is a pulmonologist who earned his medical degree from the University of Zaragoza School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Mayaguez Medical Center through the University of Puerto Rico in 1999, followed by a fellowship at University District Hospital with San Juan University of Puerto Rico in 2001. With 35 years of experience in pulmonary medicine, Dr. Martinez holds board certification in internal medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine and has achieved Fellowship status with the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP). He provides care in English.

Dr. Martinez practices at multiple locations throughout the Tampa Bay area in Wesley Chapel, Brandon, and Tampa, and maintains hospital privileges at HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital. His expertise includes treating various forms of sleep apnea, including conditions affecting both adults and children with obstructive sleep apnea.
