Dr. Raffaele Borriello, MD

In a surgeon, I care most about their surgical skills; Dr. Borrielo receives 5 stars as a surgeon. I also need to have my concerns, needs, and preferences heard; Dr. Borrielo listened. He additionally paid attention and incorporated the information I provided about what I believed was going on in my body; Again, 5 stars. Ease of appointment making and office personnel's ability to problem solve .... well maybe if I had to make regular appointments the difficulty with doing so would affect my rating. In the context of being my surgeon who performed a bilateral, inguinal, hernia repair as a non-elective procedure and who I met with a total of 3 times, it is not on my radar to include appointment scheduling ease or office wait times as anything other than incidentals. (The fact that my primary care physician works 9 - 5, Monday through Saturday and on federal holidays, IS an important rating determinant.) Although they are secondary considerations for a surgeon, it should be noted… that D. Borrielo is charming, has a good sense of humor and a reassuring presence, and is altogether appealing. Although I hope I will not need another general surgeon, I would certainly return to Dr. Borrielo in the event that he had the required specialization/expertise and I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a general surgeon.

Very unprofessional doctor. He curse at me over the phone (4.18.19). Told me, "I have no f#$& time to submit your request for an MRI" and hung up. Office receptionist Paulina is rude and has a unprofessional attitude and does not follow up w/ insurance request. Would not recommend using this physician. Deserves 0 star but can't submit without selecting.

A expert in his field of surgery.

Dr. Borriello is a wonderful doctor .I have had 2 different procedures with him and never had a problem . He shares an office with other doctors the wait is reasonable Paulina is very nice even though she's always busy . I highly recommend Dr. Borriello

The best doctor in Brooklyn. He operated on me several times and they were always successful. He is smart and has a cool manner. He is great. You cant go wrong with him. I have sent many patients to him and they love him also.. Yea.. Dr Boriello

The perfect Dr.

Dr. Borriello is the exceptional surgeon. I've used him and recommended others who were extremely satisfied with his expertise in their situations. He makes you feel comfortable, his diagnosis always seems to be extremely accurate and his follow up after surgery/procedure excels. He is friendly, takes his time with each individual and their needs and answers all questions making one feel very much at ease. His staff is also very friendly and professional always. And they do not overbook patients so the wait time is no problem.

I am overwhelmed by the level of care Dr. Borriello and his staff provided during my major surgery in April.The surgery has left me with some issues which he continues to work with me on to ease the burden.I really feel that he cares, knows who I am, and is concerned about my welfare.I highly recommend this surgeon.
