Dr. Rahel Gebrehiwot Yirga, MD

Dr. Yirga was my father's primary care physician. She was marketed to us by his assisted living facility. From the day he moved in until the day he died, she never once saw him. We called and left urgent voicemails with her offices (no one ever answered the phone) regarding his failing condition. We never heard back. Honestly, we felt that her "services" were a scam.

My brother-in-law had a major stroke 12 years ago and his health has been in decline since. We called many offices last week looking for a doctor who could do a home evaluation for admittance into Hospice. Dr. Rahel Yirga was the only one who responded. She fit us in quickly; she was kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and understood the urgency of our need. She facilitated his immediate admission into Hospice, ensuring he would get the care he needed. We will never forget Dr. Yirga and will forever appreciate what she did for our family.

My experience with Dr. Yirga was a rare experience. She was thorough, patient and kind. Most physicians do not take the time with you, they are always in a hurry to move on to the next patient. Usually it is all about the money. But not Dr. Yirga she is a real gem! When she's with you she makes you feel like you are her only patient in the world. Her diagnosis was accurate and her follow up was helpful and timely. I would highly recommend her to anybody.
