Rahul Thampi, MD

Dr. Rahul Thampi specializes in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism, bringing 15 years of experience to his practice. He earned his medical degree from Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church Medical College in Kerala, India. Dr. Thampi completed his internship and residency at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey, finishing his residency in 2018. He further advanced his expertise through a fellowship at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York, which he completed in 2020.

Dr. Thampi practices at Cape Diabetes and Endocrinology in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. His clinical focus includes treating obesity and overweight conditions, as well as managing high cholesterol in both children and teenagers. He utilizes advanced diagnostic tools such as continuous glucose monitoring to help patients manage their diabetes effectively. Dr. Thampi also performs comprehensive chemistry panels and creatinine clearance tests to assess kidney function and overall metabolic health.
