Dr. Raida Shor

Dr. Shor made my daughter very uncomfortable by insisting on doing a genital exam even though we were there because of an ear ache and diagnosed ear infection. What does one have to do with the other?? I found this to be very alarming and odd since this wasn’t a routine physical and my daughters issue was with her ears. My daughter refused the exam and I have since taken her to a different pediatrician and ENT. Dr. Shor refuses to forward over my daughters medical records. To all the moms out there please be careful and on top of things when choosing pediatricians and don’t be afraid to say no and ask questions!

Dr. Shor is our third pediatrician. We were searching for someone who was not AMA all the way and found it in Dr. Shor. She takes time, listens, and tries to avoid medicating, suggesting natural alternatives first - just what we were looking for. She really cares about patients and will pontificate a bit about whatever subject she is passionate about at the moment, but it comes from a good place. It's also a solo practice, so you get one relationship, one doctor, every time.

I agree with the first comment, that Dr. Shor's approach to treatment is like "folk medicine." My child needed an antibiotic but it was recomended to me that we try an herbal remedy first. We went to a different doctor who was capable to treating my son.

This office mixes up patients charts. When I realized the numerous errors of this office, I took my daughter to a different pediatrician and this office refused to forward her charts witout a fee. When the were forwarded the charts were mixed up with another patients and the infomation on vaccines was incorrect. They are rude to you on the phone and the doctor has made mistakes with vaccinations. She gave my daughter her Hepatitus serious and gave 2 in one sitting, resulting in a double dose. I would not recomend this doctor or office.

Dr Shor listens and supports the parent's wishes. She does not force you into anything. She listens to what you have to say. Has a balanced approach to treating illness. A wonderful women!

Dr Shor will spend as much time as you need. Takes a holistic approach to medicine, does not overprescribe, uses a lot of what I would call alternative treatments using natural substances. The only way I can describe it is folk medicine. She cares about her patients-just get ready to listen to a lecture.
