Dr. Rainer Silvan Vogel, MD

Dr. Vogel is a pawn for the drug companies. His only source of information is the DEA. He would rather keep writing you scrips for dangerous pain medication, then look at what the actual current research is. It is my opinion that patients who disagree with his "ways" are denied any future treatment. from him or any other doctor. It is the impression of this person that this doctor is willing to leave a person who has been taking strong medications for 5 yrs + out to dry (quite literally). Strong caution when looking at this doctor for your Pain Management care. If you disagree with him, it will be a slow boat to China, before you'll get a response from his office.

After 2 to 3 hours sitting and waiting to see the doctor I finally got 6 minutes of actual doctor patient time where I was told he was refilling my perscriptions. Later I was told, by another doctor, that one of the muscle relaxers I was taking isn't given except to patients with severe muscular dystrophy. I immediately stopped the medication. My current pain management doctor recommended I see a spine surgeon. I did and was told that had I seen him 4 years earlier not only did I have more vertebra but that I wouldn't have suffered 4 years of unnecessary pain. Dr. Vogel cautioned me against back surgery and kept writing me more prescriptions for more pain medication. I believe that corrective surgery would put Dr. Vogel out of business but writing prescriptions for more pills is his money maker. Dr. Vogel owes me 4 years of unnecessary pain suffered because he wouldn't do the right thing. Can you really help your patient if you only spend 6 minutes with then? Futhermorr, his staff is… unprofessional and incompetent. I can't tell you how many times they misplaced or lost time sensitive paperwork and blamed it on the doctor. When I was a patient there wasn't an RN working in the office even though she wore an RN Badge. Step back and reevaluate and mmake a change for the better.

Great doc. Helped greatly reduce my pain .

Allow 3 hours for a visit, 2 1/2 just waiting to see the doc. But, the doc is very caring and wonderful. His staff however has no clue. They don't return phone calls, have no idea what they are doing. If you need anything done, you have to see the doctor. That is a huge downfall. There is a very high turnover of office staff, so they are constantly training. Most times, the phone is never answered or the person who does answer has no idea what to do.

Dr. Vogel is a very personable, competent physician. Dealing with doctors on a daily basis, I would imagine he has a photographic memory. I would recommend Dr. Vogel very highly to anyone who has a pain issue

Find another doctor. Had been going to him for years and yes, you wait for hours in the waiting room and surgery center for him to show up especially now he is doing procedures downstairs from his office. I know he is kind and caring, but I have had enough. Imagine going to a pain doctor and then have to sit and wait. They are all probably the same!! BEWARE - of his billing service. They are always billing me for what I have paid for. Keep record of your payments dates of service.

I got a spinal cord injury from the procedure....I went to the ER room and he told them to send me home. He told me quietly in his voice at the ER room that I moved on the table but that didn't use the xray machine to relocate where the needle was ...instead just stuck it into my spinal cord. Terrible physician! 4 days in ICU, no apology, lots of medical bills. Tried to sue but very hard to sue doctors in this town...

I have never encountered such an unprofessional provider as Dr. Vogel. He failed to write a prescription on proper script paper, and then told me that I needed to find a pharmacy that would accept a script on regular paper rather than being able to get my meds from MY pharmacy. In the 3 visits I had with him, I never spent less than 3 hours in his office. It appears that he triple books, and doesn't mind in the least that people are waiting for hours. I wouldn't let him touch me for any procedure or any treatment whatsoever.

I had to wait very long just to speak to someone to try and make an appointment. When someone finally answered the girl was very abrupt and rude. I didn't even get to ask my questions. She kept on interrupting me.
