Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:My mom, who is a nurse at WellSpan for over 22 years, has been my inspiration for pursuing medicine since I was a child. She showed me how helping people in their most vulnerable times can be incredibly rewarding. Growing up, she was and continues to be our family's first hand source of care and comfort. Since then, my passion for caring for people has only grown.What I want my patients to know about me:I spent the first nine years of my career in Geriatrics, caring for some of the most vulnerable patients. The most important thing I learned from my career, so far, is how important it is to have empathy and compassion as a clinician. This is something that I will continuously strive for as your Physician Assistant.What I do when I'm not seeing patients:I am a proud wife and mom of two boys, 6 and 4. My favorite thing to do is travel and explore new places with them.
