Much of Dr. Singh’s research has focused on stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) for brain metastases and stereotactic ablative radiation therapy (SABR) for metastatic disease outside of the brain. He has a particular interest in determining the specific patient populations that may benefit the most from aggressive local therapy based on the original cancer type and other patient and tumor characteristics. Dr. Singh has published on the utility of SABR in early-stage small-cell lung cancer and on SRS for non-malignant conditions, such as dural arteriovenous fistulas, vestibular schwannomas, cavernous malformations and trigeminal neuralgia, among others. In addition, he has assessed the potential benefit of more aggressive radiation therapy approaches for glioblastoma and meningiomas and optimal treatment approaches for oropharyngeal cancers. Dr. Singh has presented at multiple national and international conferences and has more than 75 peer-reviewed publications in numerous medical journals, including JAMA Oncology, Cancer, International Journal of Radiation Oncology - Biology - Physics, Radiotherapy & Oncology, Oral Oncology, Neurosurgery, Journal of Neurosurgery, Journal of Neuro-Oncology, and Neuro-Oncology Advances. In addition to his clinical and research work, he has been involved in the education and mentorship of resident physicians, fellows and medical students. He also contributes to the scientific community as a member of several professional organizations and reviewer for numerous high-impact medical journals. Dr. Singh prioritizes patient education and aims to ensure that his patients understand their diagnosis, treatment options and follow-up plans so they feel confident in their care and empowered to make decisions based on their personal value system. He also strives to address his patients’ concerns and any potential obstacles to accessing medical treatment. During his free time, Dr. Singh enjoys spending time at the beach, hiking and playing tennis and video games.
