Hollywood and Plastic Surgery That Feels Like a Horror Movie I came to this surgeon with a small, medical request — to remove a piece of cartilage added during a previous surgery. Nothing else. My nose had already been reconstructed. My face was balanced. I liked my face. I didn’t want any changes. I told him again and again: “I like my face. I don’t want to change it. My nose is done. It’s too risky.” All I needed was cartilage removal. Instead of listening, the surgeon kept pushing his own sick vision. He insisted I would be “very happy” if he applied his technique. When I explained that cartilage removal would naturally lower my nose — and that this was exactly what I wanted — he dismissed me. He claimed I had no cartilage at all. He said cartilage “melts”. That it was medically impossible. I remember thinking: He sounds like someone stuck in a capsule from the past. For over 15 years, rib and ear cartilage have been standard in modern rhinoplasty and reconstruction. Yet… this surgeon denied their existence — and used an aggressive shaving technique on a previously reconstructed, high-risk nose. I resisted. I repeated: “I don’t need that. My nose is done. I like my face.” I showed him my photos. I explained the risks. He didn’t stop. During surgery, he discovered the cartilage was real — just as I said. But by then, he had already done more. He didn’t just remove cartilage. He over-reduced, shaved, weakened the structure. The result was devastating. My facial balance was destroyed. The nose became smaller than the bridge. Shifted. Caricatured. Lifeless. What had been a harmonious face turned into something hollow — almost mummified. This wasn’t a “difference in taste”. This was a forced application of an outdated, destructive technique — against my will. Now, no simple correction is possible. I require major reconstruction with rib cartilage. This is not about beauty. This is about consent, outdated practice, and aesthetic violence. Be careful when a surgeon pushes a technique you didn’t ask for — especially when your face was already healed, balanced, and whole.

In that moment, it felt like dealing with a surgeon stuck in a different era — as if frozen in a time capsule, using outdated ideas while ignoring how rhinoplasty has evolved. The result was devastating. My facial balance was destroyed. My nose was aggressively over-reduced on a… previously reconstructed, high-risk nose — against my will. What should have been a simple correction turned into serious structural damage. Now I require major reconstruction. This felt less like medicine and more like a horror movie. Please be extremely careful with a surgeon who: • doesn’t listen • pushes one technique on every face • ignores consent • treats your face like his personal canvas This experience made one thing very clear: this surgeon has stopped evolving. He does not follow modern rhinoplasty or reconstruction practices. He does not track long-term complications of aggressive reduction techniques. He ignores the fact that today’s qualified reconstructive surgeons are forced to fix the damage caused by doctors like him. The technique he uses is outdated and destructive — especially for previously reconstructed noses. If collapse doesn’t happen immediately, it often appears later, after 40, when collagen decreases and tissue support weakens. This is how future reconstructive patients are created. He also lacks aesthetic judgment. He applies the same reduction to different faces without reading proportions or individuality. Not every face can carry an aggressively reduced nose. Mine couldn’t — and never should have been subjected to it. What he did erased facial balance and individuality. My nose no longer looks like a nose. It looks caricatured, disconnected from my face, and anatomically wrong. Before praising a surgeon as an “artist,” please understand this: unchecked praise feeds ego — and ego leads to boundary violations. Look carefully at the result shown here. This should never happen to a patient who clearly said: “I don’t want to change.”

Now they are not answering the phone for a follow up. I said I wanted a different doctor and to go to this follow up when dr srour isnt there because they have all my information. How could they spend so much time and money on medical school just so they can hurt people (mostly women) . This surgery experience was like a horror movie and a complete STAIN on the medical profession. This was a repugnant and PATHETIC disgrace. How someone can live with themselves. I metaphorically SPIT on an existance such as that.

I had a surgery with this guy who says he calls himself a doctor. The surgery was the nose. Which I leave with a hole and very ugly, with a large scar on the left side of my nose. I went to see him several times to be able to solve the problem and he told me later, that afterwards he was going to compose me. In the end he told me that he was not 20 years old to have a good nose. Always very rude. I have tried to call him many times, so that at least he gives me back my money, but he hangs up the phone and tells me to stop being screwed. Your secretary or not whoever it is, is also very rude. They always hang me when they hear it's me. I do not recommend it at all. I'm going to take it to court soon. Do not risk your life, face and money on a person who does not even have compassion for their patients. Rocio.

I had my first appt today with Dr Raja Srour, and I have to say I was so impressed and felt totally comfortable and at ease. His Office Manager Alina was sweet and informative. I am looking forward to my upcoming procedure, and I feel really confident in him as my doctor!

Went to see Dr Raja for a consultation regarding rhinoplasty. Things went smoothly, and am choosing him to do the nose.
