This doctor adjusted my pacemaker. Soon after he finished, I experienced extreme and increasing shortness of breath, far worse than the original complaint. Also I felt a strong pounding in my chest and transient dizziness, which was frightening and debilitating. He advised me that my pacer might have to be replaced after only 19 months. He recounted the terrifying issues that might go wrong like difficulty in removing the wires, possible infection, and even open heart surgery. For an 80 year old woman hearing this caused me such panic that I could barely walk back to my car. I cannot recommend this doctor, as he made my situation much worse. In fact, I had to go to the ER and be admitted to the hospital soon after, as my shortness of breath and heart pounding became progressively worse and completely debilitating. An interrogator was called in, and she worked diligently to correct the settings. It took her over an hour to make adjustments. Thankfully I experienced some relief, but I am… not nearly back to where I was before this doctor adjusted my pacemaker.
