Dr. Desai is truthfully the best glaucoma specialist in Nj. After ive had a botched cataract surgery elsewhere, a friend of mine recommended him to me. He was extremely detailed, answered all my questions and told me i needed something called a “lens echange”. He discussed risk factors and post-op care, i was just so relieved that i came to him. He is very prompt with refilling my medication as well.. The surgery was successful, (as expected because my friend said hes amazing.) He also discovered i had high eye pressure, so hes been treating me for my glaucoma. Dr. Desai and his team seriously made me feel secure & safe! I plan to continue being treated by him as i feel theres no one better. Thank you Dr. Desai!!

My experience with Dr. Desai was deeply disappointing and emotionally distressing. As someone who recently lost total vision, I expected compassion and professionalism—what I received instead was dismissiveness, poor communication, and a lack of empathy. Post-surgery, my questions about medication were brushed off, and I was told the doctor had “other patients to see.” There was no coordination with my ophthalmologist, leading to confusion and anxiety about which eye was being treated. The way I was spoken to was demeaning and unprofessional, especially given the life-changing nature of my condition. I left feeling unheard, disrespected, and questioning the ethics behind my care. Patients deserve better.
