Dr. Rajendra Gijubhai Pandya, MD

I never got to see Dr. Pandya. I called twice to get a new patient appointment. Both times I was told they would talk to the doctor and call me back with appointment options. Neither time I was called back. If he isn't taking new patients, that's all they had to say. The second time I called I had to repeat myself MANY times for a simple appointment. There are many others to choose from and I ended up with the best. Doctors need to realize that the front office is the first connection and impression a patient will get. Very unprofessional at this office!

Dr Pandya is the most arrogant physician I have ever met. He dismissed a patient with MRSA even though the infection was still apparent. Then we get a bill for $700.00 a day for his "visits" in the hospital. Stay away from him if you want to get better.

I would not go back to him at all! He did not give me good diagnosis and was not professional at all when I got an infectious dissease.

This story is not quite like an episode of the medical-mystery program House, but at the time I lived it, it seemed so. I went to the emergency room of Tomball Regional Hospital because I had become very sick with flu-like symtoms several weeks after a podiatrist performed a simple procedure to remove an ingrown toenail. My toe did not heal promptly and seemed to be infected; the podiatrist had prescribed a course of treatment with some appropriate antibiotic. Being dissatisfied that things were not getting better under the care of that podiatrist, I stopped by to see my Family Practice M.D. (how dumb was that?) who gave me yet another antibiotic or two, while the local podiatrist at that office repeated the procedure on the ingrown toenail. A day later I got chills and shivers and began to worry that I had that crazy flesh-eating bacteria, MRS. My F.P. MD told me to go to an emergency room, which is how I ended up at Tomball. I had every kind of scan and diagnoses from Hepatitis… to an infection in my toe bone to an infected gall bladder, which "they" were ready to remove. It turned out that I had reacted to one of those antibiotics administered by my FPMD. With a little calm reasoning, Dr. Pandya determined that I was not sick, but that indiscriminant antibiotic therapy had created symptoms that sent a half dozen MDs on a very expensive pursuit of a phantom illness. That illustrates why medical care costs so much in this country: MDs are paid to execute procedures, not keep a patient well. Highest praise and deep thanks to Dr. Pandya for bringing sanity to an insane situation.
