Dr. Rajesh Behl, MD

Dr. Behl is very clear explaining tests and procedures he will perform. Information from him is straight forward and honest. He inspires confidence in his ability to diagnose and treat his patients. His experience is vast and solid. I've never been to any doctor who put me so at ease and treated me with such respect.

Dr. Behl is a wonderful, brilliant oncologist. He attends my husband who's diagnosed with Lymphoma. When it came time for chemo, Dr. B adjusted the 1st treatment per my husband's age, stamina, etc.--unlike some oncologist who don't seem to allow for individual difference. After husband's final chemo infusion, he was released from Alta Bates Summit (an outstanding hospital by the way, with dedicated oncology nursing staff). Husband is still seeing Dr. B 2 x a week, going into our 3rd week since release. I'm told that UCSF and Stanford often recommend Dr. Behl as a person to go to for a 2nd opinion. (Initially we had another oncologist and he was difficult to reach, didn't return phone calls--I'm thankful I arranged for him to be replaced by Dr. Behl.) As you get to know Dr. B you'll find that he has a great sense of humor too.

I was diagnosed with Lymphoma about 3 years ago. My regular doctor made arrangements for Dr. Behl to treat me. I've been in remission for over 2 1/2 years now. Dr. Behl's demeanor while I was hospitalized helped me to recover. I'm still seeing him for regular followups. He's very competent and has a good sense of humor which many doctors in the field lack.

Dr Behl has provided exceptional care to me since he diagnosed me wit multiple myeloma while in the hospital for an unrelated injury. He is patient and empathetic with my needs. His staff is excellent and all care for me like a family member. I am blessed to have Dr Behl as my oncologist.

Dr. Behl cared for my ex-wife during her long fight with Leukemia. The whole family was very impressed and grateful for his honesty, concern and expertise.

Seems very dedicated to his patients. I've had other Doctors at this hospital that were more focused on their clinical research and didn't answer all my questions. When you're not sick he seems to enjoy engaging you about fun, non-medical things. When you need his medical attention he gets very focused and obvioulsy knows his stuff!
