Excellent doctor explains current situation and knowledgeable

Needed a routine colonoscopy & went with Dr. Rajesh Joseph, M.D. at Norton Commons...best medical decision I've made in years. Warm and personable, Dr. Joseph made me feel confident & safe with the upcoming procedure and afterwards, took his time explaining the results & follow-up instructions. Entire hospital staff was great & very friendly. Thank you Dr. Rajesh! I'll be sure to recommend you to anyone needing a great gastroenterologist! ...and a big thank you to RN Maria who took care of me before & after the procedure! Thank you!!! (Jeff)

His bedside is poor and does not listen to symptoms. He follows only what he things he sees and not what one lives with on a daily basis. He staff gives incomplete and sometimes opposite answers than the last staff member. He will give no answers on why this or that needs to be done just do it because I say so. And if you question anyone about anything you are accused of being confrontational and abusive. If they gave completed answrs and not half witted ones and explained things to you then it may be a lot different. He has a head that's fatter than my nuro Dr! Not pleasent at all. Oh any to top this off you are made to wait months to talk about the test you have no idea why you are taking or what he suspects. Not sure if he knows or cares at this point. Just living in misery and having symptoms he does not seem to care about and gives answrs that make no sense. He talks down to you and does not seem to like questions.

Stay away if you value your life. Awful bedside manner and doors not really care about your health. I almost died in his "care" and hospital doctors couldn't believe it either. Condescending and just had a really of well kind of attitude. His office manager was terrible as well and very rude. In fact, all of the staff. I have the best GI now.

Absolute worst experience EVER with any doctor. When I asked any questions I was accused of being confrontational and berated until I was reduced to tears!

I am a 70 year old woman who went to Dr. Joseph because of several severe problems I was having with my stomach and digestive system. At his direction, I underwent a number of tests, including allergy tests and breath tests. After the tests, but before I went in for my appointment to hear the test results, I got a letter from Dr. Joseph's office telling me I was allergic to fructose sugar and offering advice on how I should eat to deal with that. The day of the appointment, Dr. Joseph began by telling me about the fructose test and what I should do. I explained that I'd received his letter about that and already understood what I needed to do to deal with that. I then asked about the Breath Tests, which I hoped would enable him to give me a specific diagnoses for my problems. Dr. Joseph said that he couldn't find my Breath Test results. I said that I really wanted to hear them. I tried to explain how desperate I was for an answer to my problems. I wasn't rude or angry, but… I stressed that I wanted an answer. At some point, I offended Dr. Joseph somehow and he literally told me to get out of his office. I was stunned. I just sat there. Dr. Joseph then left. When I didn't leave, because I was so distraught about going through all the tests and now being kicked out for something I didn't even understand, someone came back and I asked if they'd bring my Daughter-in-law, who'd come with me, back. She did. Dr. Joseph then later returned with someone else who worked in his office. He told me he had talked to my Primary Physician and that now she would take over my treatment and that he would no longer treat me. I apologized and asked what did I say? Dr. Joseph answered, "You disrespected me." I said there must be some misunderstanding and that I hadn't meant to disrespect him and asked him not to throw me out. His assistant said something like, Oh Dr. Joseph didn't do that. He's not throwing you out. I said ask him. The assistant did and Dr. Joseph answered that yes, he wanted me to leave and wouldn't treat me or answer questions about the test. He then left again. I was so upset I couldn't stand up. After a bit, two employees came and tried to help my Daughter-in-law get me out of the office. We got to a cot in the hallway and I had to stop and sit down. I sat there crying. I asked one of the staff if maybe Dr. Joseph couldn't at least explain the results of the Breath Tests to me even if he wouldn't see me again. She went off and then came back saying that no, Dr. Joseph wouldn't speak to me. I have tried over and over in my mind to understand what happened and how my saying that I wanted to hear the results of the Breath Test was disrespectful to Dr. Joseph. I honestly don't think I was. I just think that he lost his temper and then couldn't recover. It was worst experience I've ever had with a Doctor.
