Dr. Rajesh Kumar Sethi, MD

The two ladies at the reception desk work very hard to be unwelcoming and unfriendly. They do not acknowledge you when you walk in, they do not look at you when they talk to you and their body language says that your presence bothers them. They are the faces of the practice and should've worked hard to make everyone feel welcome. My experience with Dr Sethi is excellent but my overall impression is low. My comment is based on 34 years of work in customer service.

the wait time can be from 20-45 min and the staff will not tell you that he's behind until you're tired of waiting and you ask why the long wait.

Very unprofessional staff, had to wait over an hour. It was obvious that the doctor did not want to see me. I got a refund of my co pay and decided I would not see a doctor so unprofessional.

My experience with Dr. Sethi is much like those by other reviewers who gave poor reviews. Further, his office tried to make me schedule imaging tests with his office even though they had poor scheduling options. Sorry, but my copay goes to the business that can get me in during reasonable scheduling options and timeframes. Not to repeat what other reviewers have said, I do believe that the positive posts for me are plants to keep his review score up. All the positive review posts for him are short and generally vague. When I give me great doctor's reviews I specifically detail why I think they are such a good fit. I saw Sethi twice before taking a year to be referred to a different neurologist. I have since had surgery for carpul tunnel, have had several nerve releases, nerve blocks, and have botox and medicine treatment for migraine and nerve pain. When I was last referred to the neurologist that now treats me I told my new GP "please suggest someone that you would send your daughter… to, not someone who needs patients, is in the same network (such as Kaiser...they push eachother even though they take non-kaiser patients from other plans), or is a buddy. Finally, I question the quality of the medical school Sethi has his MD from and think other patients should be concerned about that.

I am very frustrated by Dr. Sethi's treatment. He didn't spend any time with me and didn't tell me anything different from what my primary care mentioned. He offered me no solutions for his "diagnosis" nor did he follow up and tell me the results of my tests. While consulting in his office during my first visit, he answered his cell phone and took a personal call. How professional! And, how caring!

I will never go with him again, very dissapointed with his office. I have been his patient for 5 years, but I need a very special treatment that not doctor can do it, that why I have been so patience with him. Everytime that I go I need a medicine and I am the one always checking that it has arrived before my appointment, they are not responsable enough to follow that up. But this time after 10 days of my first call to the office to get the appointment my medicine hasn't arrived yet, my appointment was supposed to be for yesterday, so it was cancelled. Today after called them, the pharmacy, my insurance several times , the pharmacy call me saying it will be delivered in a rush, I called the doctor, who they promised I will have the appointment when they get the botox, well not true anymore, the secretay didnt feel comfortable to give me an app. and the doctor is leaving tomorrow, wont be open.So not treatment till next week.My conditions consists of not be able to open my eyes because… of a nerves disorder and the treatment is a miracle in my life.I am overdue with the treatment, so I am fighting my eyes so the can be open to drive mostly. So my quality of my life will be very poor this following days thanks to the doctos's office.Another thing, once I referre my doctor to my auntie, and when she arrived they told her she never had the appointment and the doctor had left already.How unprofesional!.I have already an appointment with another doctor for the future and hope things will work easily.

I saw Dr. Sethi after having a horrible experience with another local neurologist. I found him to be completely professional and was able to schedule a test I needed the next day. Superb!

I was a new patient with Dr. Sethi so I arrived 30 minutes prior to my appointment as his receptionist suggested to fill out paperwork. My appointment was for 10am. I didn't see Dr. Sethi until about 10:20am; in the meantime he took another patient who arrived AFTER I did. When he came out to see me, there was no apology for the wait. Shortly (1 or 2 minutes) after we sat down in his office and in the middle of asking me about the pains I was experiencing, he took an incoming phone call. I understand that it may have been a really important phone call, but it went on for a little more than 5 minutes and when he finished he didn't apologize for the wait. I was very disappointed with his lack of basic common courtesy. If he had to take the call, he could have explained it was an emergency and could have stepped out or asked me to return to the lobby (what about patient privacy?)Dr. Sethi spent another 5 minutes (possibly less) doing a basic checkup to see if I could possibly have… carpel tunnel syndrome and then said he'd schedule an appointment for me to come back for testing. I was surprised by how badly the visit was going. The whole point of scheduling an appointment with Dr. Sethi was for him to do testing but he merely repeated everything my primary physician had done- preliminary exercises to see if I may have CTS. I told him I was assured by my doctor that I would be tested today. He tried to placate me by saying I could schedule on a Saturday (but I already had plans to go out of town). In response, he left me with the receptionist to work it out. She was much more professional and seemed to understand that I did not have the luxury to take a 1/2 day off for a 5 minute appointment only to take another 1/2 day off for testing that I could have done on the same day. I waited for another 20 minutes for her to ask Dr. Sethi if it was ok to test me at 4pm (all other earlier times were booked). He proceeded to (in the lobby, with me right there) complain that he couldn't test a new patient on the same day they first came in for a visit. Another staff member corrected him saying they could indeed do that, that they had done so with another patient a month ago. Caught in his blunder, he only relented after asking, "But... we get to bill her for both this visit and the testing separately, right?" The woman said they "could" and he walked off seemingly happy with the answer. Dr. Sethi is not only very unprofessional (makes patients wait both in the lobby and in the office while taking phone calls, no apologies) but has clearly demonstrated a lack of concern for the patient. He is only concerned about scheduling unnecessary appointments so he can make that extra money from the "separate billings." He is not concerned about how inconvenienced his patients are. Because I have to go back at 4pm, I had to call in to my boss to take the other 1/2 day off as well. Fortunately I have enough sick days still left to do so but other people may not be so lucky. The only saving grace of this office was the receptionist who was extremely busy but still tried her best to make patients feel more at ease.Still, I do NOT recommend Dr. Sethi. Choose someone else who genuinely cares about his patients!

I went to Dr. Sethi after my implant was done and he accepted me as a new pt. Most specialists won't take you on if they did not do the implant. Dr. Sethi has been very helpful to me and is working well with Basic Home Infusions in reference to getting my medicine titrated in a safe manner. He was recommended by a family member who has been seeing Dr. Sethi for years and is o also happy with him.
