Dr. Rajinder Singh Puri

I will never go back to this doctor again. At first he was great with being a PPO and helping my husband with a quick diagnosis with his health issue. Then it took a whole new meaning.My husband explained to him that he needed releases for work, this doctor got all snobish about giving them. Then he would get behind with giving test results, get upset when we would have to cancel our appointments and so on. This doctor also got directly up in my husband's face almost in a confentation but he was the only doctor accepting new patients at the time, we had to stick with him. I decided to use him for my primary and I should have known when his first remark to me was "you could stand to loose a few pounds" whenever my husband was the patient, not me.I decided to use my own OBGYN for my female issues and for my first appointment with this doctor I brought the bloodwork she had ordered (Which would have been the same he would have) that was done the week before, he seemed livid that I had… done that. Then when I called his office and told them I had surgery done (again with the OBGYN) and what medications I was on, they said ok. At my next appointment with him, he was very rude stating I did not tell him about the surgery and I wasn't being a good patient. He refused to treat me for a migraine I had been having for over a week (I called after three days into it so ten days total yes, he made me wait a week for an appointment)and sent me to a neurologist. I was just lucky that doctor had a next day appointment and was able to give me some relief and now this doctor is refusing to give me and my husband our medical records.I"m sorry to say but to me he seems to think that we should be thankful he is seeing us. In a recient interview he brags Puri said he is the only turban-wearing Sikh in Lakeland. He thinks he is better than us because of that? I am glad we are changing doctors, I am not sure how much more I can take from him and his preaching of how we should live how he wants us to live like his slaves (that's how I feel his medical advice is) and not as individules. A doctor does not spend three to five minutes in a room with a patient then leave.
