Dr. Rajitha Mallela, MD

Dr. Mallela is very accommodating for my needs and her staff is very friendly and professional! I hope Dr. Mallela doesn't ever move because I will follow her!!!! It's not easy to find a doctor that is so caring and I feel very fortunate to have found her

I have been seeing Dr Malala for many years now and she and the staff have been very accommodating to my schedule. When I first went to her I was having spine problems for many years and was never properly diagnosed until I saw Dr Malela who diagnosed me within 15 minutes of my first visit. Since then she has been treating me for my condition and I have a much better quality of life for that. Thank you Dr Malala and staff.

So thankful for this doctor. My dad was referred to her after another doctor did not know how to treat his auto immune disease. He got so sick. The dramatic difference she made in my dad's health, we couldn't be more thankful. I would highly recommend her to those suffering from an auto immune disease.

I do give her credit for my diagnosis of Sjorgrens Syndrome. However when reaching out to her office to provide paperwork to my employer about my concerns with Covid 19, I was mocked and laughed at by the receptionist who said she was not going write letters for all her patients who were teachers. She then went on to say that the doctor thinks it is perfectly OK for teachers to go back to work. I was left feeling as though I needed to defend myself to the Doctors assistant as I explained to her that I see in excess of 450-500 students in any given week. She begrudgingly mailed me paperwork for current blood work. Upon reviewing the labs there was an appointment card inside the envelope. I had to recontact Dr. Mallela"s office when `in the Location line of the appointment card it indicated "Phone Visit". I inquired about why I was having a phone visit. The same snarky assistant said "Unless you having an injection or it is an emergency all visits are by phone". I said "why is that?"… She repeated herself " All of the doctors appointments are by phone unless..." I interrupted her and said "Why is that?" She then said "Due to Covid 19 the doctor is limiting her patient in person visits". I said to her "Now it might have been you or someone else in the office who told me that the doctor felt it was just fine for teachers to return to the classroom" She said " Yes, that was me and the doctor does feel it is ok" I said " Well, let me get this straight. It is OK for teachers to return to work however the doctors is limiting her one-on-one exposure for herself?" The secretary then paused. I immediately said " Then this call is to cancel this appointment as I am no longer able to be her patient." Please know if you are a teacher with an autoimmune disorder and a patient of this doctor she is only in "it" for herself. The last conversation I had with the snarky receptionist she stated that doctor Mallela would have to write over 300 letters if she were to help keep her teachers alive.

I was a patient of Mallela's before, then I switched to a different office. And then I switched back. Thinking I'd give her another chance. But.. I should've never switched back. The medical assistants in her office always been the problem. There very ignorant, inconsiderate, and rude. That's why none of her office staff last. Every few weeks there is new assistants in the office. Maybe it's her. Because even the good ones leave. And oh boy...dont need any paperwork filled out, Mallela and her staff come up with every reason why it can't be filled out. But...she wants to get paid hundreds of dollars for those 5 min office visits that she schedule you for. If my insurance is paying you, I expect the paperwork to be filled out that needs to be filled out. Also, I dont feel that she cares about her patients. I was in the hospital for 3 weeks, I contacted her/hospital contacted her. You would think she would come visit/call me, but she didnt. She wouldnt even assist with the hospital… treatment plan for me. Overall, disappointing experience with her office. For a second time. I wouldn't recommend her office. Find someone worth your insurance provider, paying.

Being a retired RN, I am extremely critical in assessing my caretakers. Dr. Mallela’s care in my case has been wonderful in knowing her medical expertises blended with her caring & compassionate care keeps my faith in getting well. She respected my decisions in a homeopathic approach & did not make me feel pressured & worked with me on making decisions in my health care plan. Highly recommended to patients who have to suffer like myself

After being dismissed by my primary care doctor, Dr. Mallela took the time and tested me.

I love working with her. She listens and finds the solution that will work best. Dr.Mallela does the testing that is needed to determine what is wrong.

Need to find this great doctor. No longer with Buffalo Medical Group. Only down fall was scheduling with BMG. She is so caring.
