Dr. Nijhawan made me feel comfortable quickly. He explained what he was going to do and answered all my questions. He talked to me throughout the process. I feel fortunate to have him taking care of me. What an Excellent doctor and surgeon.

Dr. Nijhawan is a Mohs surgeon which I had the good fortune to be referred to by my dermatologist to remove squamous skin cancer on top of my scalp. I have had outstanding results from his procedure and site has healed completely with absolutely no scaring or even an indication anything had been done to my scalp. He is very thorough in explaining the procedure to be done, the care after procedure so that you never have any questions. He is a very caring and compassionate surgeon!!

Ask your dermatologist refer you to Dr. Nijhawan at UT Southwestern for your Mohs surgery in a hospital clinic-type setting. In addition to the skills and expertise of Dr. Nijhawan, you might also be attended by a resident physician, a physician on fellowship and multiple technical and surgical nurses. You will have access to the latest equipment and techniques. If needed, the resources of the UT Southwestern Medical Center are available for other diagnostics, tests, or treatment. The UTSW Dermatology Center also has dermatology physicians that can be scheduled for your regular checkups.

Dr. Nijhawan was amazing. Taking the time in a pre-visit to explain exactly what he would do to remove the cancer from my nose and doing exactly that when he performed the surgery. After I had the stitches removed it is hard to see that anything was done to my nose. During the surgery the doctor was informative , assuring and he worked quickly. I am extremely satisfied with his bedside manner and would recommend him to all my friends.

I have had 4 skin cancer surgeries with Dr. Nijhawan and they have all turned out fantastic. Virtually no scarring and clear margins the first time on ALL 4 surgeries. Highly recommend him.

UTSW and Dr. Rajiv Nijhawan. This was my first experience with this Medical facility and Dr. Nijhawan. I am in my 70"s and have never been to a More Professional, Knowledgeable and Efficient Surgeions (Dr. Jay Smith- Fellow) and staff as this group. Once I had the Cancer diagnosed I began to research those Dermatologists( MOH's Surgeons) in Dallas. I chose Dr. Nijhawan for UTSW and referrals. Absolutely outstanding with remarkable results.
