Dr. Rakesh Chander Gupta, MD

This was the worst experience I have ever had at any doctors office. After going in for my initial appointment one of the doctors that works there kept asking me "what did you tell me? What were we talking about?, I forgot what we were discussing?" This happened several times, and by this point I knew there was no solid communication and the doctor could not retain any information whatsoever. Then they stated they wanted to set up a sleep study, I aske the doctor " do I need to go to the other building (as it is just across the way) and set up an appointment?" There answer was NO, they informed me to come in at 8:30 PM on a weeknight and they would take care of it. I asked her if I needed to bring anything and she also replied NO. So, after a few days I just wanted to clarify again that I did not need to bring anything. I called Dr. Gupta's office, the receptionist took my birthdate… and name and looked me up. She stated "no, I see you in here, you don't need to bring anything with you. I picked up someone to watch my house and dogs overnight, picked up a small dinner and showed up at 8:30pm. Immediately I was told by the nurse performing the sleep studies "you need an appointment, there is no room for you here tonight." I will give him credit, he profusely apologized and stated "I will send the main office a message for you and let them know what happened, I am very sorry." I was infurated by this point as I then had to take the person watching my home back to their house and pay them for their time. In the next days I received no phone call, no email, nothing. So I called the main office and all the lines were busy so I left a message stating I would like a call back. Still nothing. I wrote a formal complaint to Dr. Gupta, and what a surprise, no response! If you need to have a sleep study or have issues with Apnea or Narcolepsy, I would AVOID THIS DR'S OFFICE at all costs. There is absolutely no customer service and no care for their patients. It is not only a deplorable attitude but unprofessional on so many levels. The anthropocentric attitude and medacious behavior of the doctors there will not help you solve your issues. Beware!

Very professional good listener as well as informing on other medical issues that I should speak to my primary care physician about and ask for specialist..clean office hard working staff .. and my CPAP machine is giving me great results ??????????????????????

Dr Gupta has been treating our family for over 20 years. he has always been accessible, reliable and dependable in his followup as it would relate to medical issues. Office staff lacks a sense of urgency and needs to better understand that they are offering a service to the patients.

Dr. Gupta has been my primary healthcare doctor for over 12 years. I highly recommend him because of his professionalism, medical knowledge, and great bedside manner. He cares about his patients.

Dr, Gupta has been my PCF for many years; he was also my mother,s doctor too, for over 20 years. Thanks to his care and expertise, I can say my mother lived many more years he extended her life with his care. Now me and my wife are his patients, and would not hesitate ,to recommend him. Dr. Gupta took care of me several times in ICU. He was not only very competent but has an excellent bedside manner. I would recommend him to anyone in need of a pulmonary specialist.

The staff is not very friendly when you call they take forever to answer the phone and put you on hold for a while some time the phone just rings no answer some times not even a machine picks up. Dr. Gupta could have way better STAFF!!!! They need to have respect and not be so rude and better phone etiquette.
