Dr Rakhi Naushad Kheraj

Dr Kheraj saved my life from a gastric bleed after a triple bypass! The day before I was scheduled to be released, I was coughing up over 2 liters of blood and she was called in. According to my notes on my chart, she told my husband that if I was home and this happened, I would have died on the way to the hospital! I received several units of blood and platelets because mine had depleted. I was rushed into emergency surgery, according to my hubby, 3 times and they finally found the bleeders and stitched me up and off to ICU I went. Hubby said I was there for about two weeks critical but stable and all he did was pray, pray & pray. He said he was so scared I was going to leave him but God obviously decided it wasn’t my time to go. I was in the hospital for almost a month and I pray every day for Dr Ellington, the nurses, staff and especially Dr Kheraj for saving me! I can never repay her for kicking in her skills and training and watching over me like a hawk to make sure I pulled… through. She is truly my definition of a true HERO in my book. I highly recommend her and am pushing my family to change over to her since they haven’t been getting the service from other Drs. Dr Rakhi Kheraj, Thank you and you team for giving me another chance in this world! You will always be my ROCKIN DR TOP ON MY LIST! So if you are on the fence, check her out. She is the top female Gastrologist in Augusta, GA and she will always be my HERO for life!

Dr. Kheraj was, above and beyond, one of the best doctors that I've visited to date (and I'm mid 50's!). Her staff was excellent, she took the necessary time to talk with me and to discuss my procedure and all I needed to know about it! She was great when I arrived for my procedure and discussed, before and after, things I needed to know. I highly recommend Dr. Kheraj!
