Dr. Rakhi Singh, MD

I was a patient of Dr. Rakhi Singh for five yrs and I do not recommend her to anyone anymore. I finally found a medication that helped my pain for the first time in five yrs - an ointment. Dr. Singh had been telling me for the past five yrs to use two to three over-the-counter patches per day of the same medicine (which are over 60-90 dollars per month before sales tax) instead of prescribing me the ointment version that my insurance would cover for 0 dollars per month. I've complained that the patches haven't really helped in years, but they're all I have. I've also suspected toxicity symptoms while using the patches, so I stopped using three patches per day, which Dr. Singh assured me was fine and dismissed any concern of toxicity with the patches. When she finally did write me a prescription for the ointment version and it turned out to work so much better than the patches, she refused to write a prescription that allowed me to use the ointment every day "due to concerns about… toxicity"...even though she thought it was okay for me to use twice the dosage worth in patches and pay for them out of pocket. So then Dr. Singh canceled my ointment prescription entirely, took two and a half weeks to even get back to me, wouldn't take my videocall appt because I said I could hear her, but not see her over video (yet she said she could see and hear me perfectly). When I finally got ahold of her, she had a conniption about me asking for more ointment and said she was dropping me as a patient effective immediately and will abruptly cut off ALL my meds now. I got Patient Services involved and they assured me she couldn't do that and she had to continue writing my prescriptions until I transferred care to a new pain management doctor, no matter how long that took. When it was time for a refill and I was all but out, the pharmacy informed me that Dr. Singh still canceled my prescription anyway and when I called Patient Services again, they said there was nothing they could do because there was no longer a prescription on file. They told me my only option of continuing my medication was to run to an Urgent Care.
