Dr. Rakin Hoq, MD

Made my child uncomfortable and was too forceful with his plan. Told my teen that he was seeking attention.

As a patient, I have talked to other patients and coworkers of his and he is extremely unprofessional and rude. He has caused genuine distress in my life that has lasted years after I was treated. Very manipulative and goes against anything and everything you say, and does not respect the children he cares for. He sees them as numbers and will look at you like you are a monster for coming to get help.

This man should not be allowed to practice medicine with children. He is extremely rude to my child and myself. If you disagree with him he lashes out. He is quick to give a diagnosis with out knowing the patient. my son ask to speak with another doctor and he told my son that was not possible and he will not allow it. He will never speak to my son in such a manner again and it is his right to request to speak with someone else. This man is downright abusive!

Dr Hoq was exceptionally great w/ my son. He showed empathy, relatability, and made out a great plan. My son now is a 3.5 gpa student and plays many instruments. He’s off medication now and has continued his journey. Thanks you Doc!

Dr. Hoq was extremely unprofessional, lacked empathy and kindness, when dealing with myself and my child. I would never recommend him, especially in the case of pediatric psychiatry. If you don't follow what he says, he retaliates. Why don't question that he does have knowledge within the field of psychiatry. He certainly does not have knowledge in every field and takes his aggression out on patients and their families. I would not recommend him.

Dr. Hoq is simply the best psychiatrist I've seen. He doesn't rush you into new medications if you are uneasy, and he doesn't make you feel bad if you go through a rough patch with medication. He and his team help you through your issues and I can't recommend him enough.
