Dr. Ralph Bharati, MD

In 2016, the town we lived in could not get the handle on my daughter's mental health. We were referred to Dr. Bharati. Even though we had to drive an hour one way for our appointment. It was worth it. He worked well with my daughter. He talked respectfully to us as parents as well. Which we did not get at Veridian in Salina. He answered all of our questions. About a year in, after he had tried everything. He gave my daughter a test that isolate issues verses medication. After that, he referred us back to our medical doctor and request for some test performed here. So glad he did. We got down to the bottom of it. He did not want to string her out with medication(s) that was not effective. And he was so right. Will always appreciate the help he gave us and it was worth the 2 hrs there and back. Ms Mae

He doesn’t keep your information confidential. Without me singing a release, him and my doctor before him were communicating. When I wasn’t getting better under his care, he Would of told me that I have tried everything and nothing has worked and he doesn’t know what to do with me witch took away lots of my hope. I had read Dr. Bharati's reviews But I tried to be optimistic and give him a chance. I went to my appointment, and he basically just said that everything his colleague had done for me for the past seven months was bad medicine. So he discontinued my prescription and told me it was time to find a new doctor. When I tried to explain that I found the medication enormously helpful, he blew my off and said "I'm not going to argue with you." He gets one star because he waived my fee. Bharati is not good enough to get paid for his services anyway.

Dr. Ralph N. Bharati took over a relative's case from a psychiatrist who left the Via Christi practice on Orme St., and has allegedly left Wichita altogether. The relative's case was then put on the very bottom of Dr. Bharati's list of priorities, and he was seen only twice by Bharati before he was told not to come back. This relative, who was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia with bi-polar issues about 15 years ago, is on an injectible anti-psychotic medication that requires a doctor's supervision and medical authorization. The decision on the part of Dr. Bharati, which was thoroughly inhumane and highly unprofessional, has left this relative without any medical or psychiatric supervision whatsoever. It is now doubtful whether the shot medication will even be available to him in the future, and the family has been left scrambling to find another psychiatric physician to oversee the case of this individual.

Dr. Ralph Bahrahti met with me for the first time because my old psychiatrist retired so I got moved to Dr. Bharatis case load and he immiately takes me off of a medication that has been helpful for me without asking. I asked to advocate for myself and he said to go see someone else. Very rude. Would not listen. And unprofessional.

He spent a total of less than 5 minuets with me and did not even look into my file it was ridiculous

Followed up with this Doctor after I my Psychiatrist relocated. He refused to keep me on the same program that has worked for me for 3 years. I felt like he was interrogating me. He did not read a single page of my file. Very unprofessional.

Upon my first visit he wanted to DOUBLE my dose of one med. Totally cut me off another (no taper). And, get me off a third via tapering over three months. I had been on the three above drugs in a dosage that was used for maintenance for the last 2 years/without problems. My brother is a doctor and said that for me to abruptly stop the one (as opposed to a taper) was very dangerous to my life. That it could even k*ll me. The one drug he doubled, I tried it once. I was SO OUT OF IT, that I seriously thought of calling to have somebody pick me up from work (although my drive home is less than 10 minutes). Totally did not listen to my concerns. Has no empathy. I imagine he 'cookie cuts' every one's meds. What a shame. The doctor he replaced was outstanding (Dr. Cox). When I suggested we try his new med routine in the summer, when I do not work - he flat out said, "NO!" Then he accused me of wanting "the easy way out". That is like telling a diabetic that needs insulin...… that they are taking the 'easy way out' by getting daily injections of insulin. STAY AWAY if you know what is good for you. I was ONE and DONE. I chose to NEVER see this 'doctor' again. My MD brother said I should report him.

my husband completed the stop program. i was told the total cost of the program was 1500 including the 8 weeks of classes. once we started receiving bills they billed my insurance for the initial 1500 and 150 for each class attened. when i tried to call to have this checked into i was hung up on by Dr Bharati's wife 3 times and was unable to get my issue resolved. since then our bill was sent to collections and the collection agency quickly returned all accounts to Bharati's office due to numerous complaints of over billing and insurance difficulties. i do recommend the program but i do NOT recommend this dr's office!!! Beware
