Dr. Ralph I Jacobs JR., DDS

Ralph I. Jacobs Jr., DDS, a founding partner of Designs In Dentistry, credits his love of the sciences and his family friendship with Dr. Ortner for his desire to pursue a career in dentistry, but it is his strong dedication to patient respect and comfort that guide his practice philosophy.
Dr. Jacobs' skills in surgery, implantology and cosmetic dentistry provide him with the opportunity to offer his patients multiple options in their dental care. Dr. Jacobs became interested in implantology during dental school, when his class became the first in the nation to study its surgical techniques and applications and travels nationwide to study and participate in hands-on surgical seminars to stay on the cutting edge of surgical
techniques and technological advances. His practice blends advanced technical skills with a trained eye for aesthetics, resulting in beautiful and dramatic results. Dr. Jacobs is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and …the Sacramento District Dental Society. Dr. Jacobs has participated in our "Giving Smiles" Children's Dental Program from its beginning in 1991. The program
provides free dental care to underprivileged children in our community.
Born and raised in Sacramento, Dr. Jacobs attended Elk Grove High School. He received his undergraduate education at California State University at Sacramento and the University of California, Davis. He is a 1988 graduate of Creighton University School of Dentistry, Omaha, Nebraska. After a year with the U.S. Public Health Service in New Mexico, he returned to Sacramento and joined Sutter Terrace Dental Group.
Dr. Jacobs and his wife Kim, a registered dental hygienist, live in Rancho Murieta with their young sons, Craig and Chad. Together, they enjoy water and snow skiing. Dr. Jacobs is an avid golfer, and competes in various club and charity tournaments. His other interests include reading, chess and coaching his son's T-ball team. Dr. Jacobs is an ETC. member, and supports theatre, music and family entertainment in his community.
