Dr. Lopez was my childhood doctor and he is the best!

I don't know if Dr. Lopez is in practice anymore, but I had a horrible experience with him when I was a teen which I feel was sexual assault. I don't care how "nice" or "kind" he acts on the outside. He examined my breasts and buttocks under the guise of a "check up" with no female chaperon present, and even touched one of my breasts without asking me, saying he "had to lift it up to check underneath." I was too young to understand what was happening or to say anything. I felt extremely violated and humilated and was traumatized by the experience. Parents, never send your daughter into a room with a male pediactrian without a female chaperon present.

When I was a "mixed up" teen, Dr. Lopez was my pediatrician/counselor and I simply Adored him. I am now a 53 year old woman who, today, continues to hold a very warm spot in my heart for the first dear, sweet, sensitive, and understanding man in my life; Dr. Ralph Ivan Lopez (or "Lopes" as I affectionately called him). Still don't know how he put up with me then but he so effectively guided me thru some very tough times and his influence on my life has been significant and ongoing. I followed in his footsteps and today I, too, work professionally with children and teens.

Doctor Lopez took us early, spent a lot of quality time with us, and spoke in a language that my teenage son could understand. Exhibited a wonderful attentive manner. I would call him a treasure, and I feel lucky to have found him.
