Dr. Ralph B. Metson

I felt comfortable with Dr. Metson from my first visit. I appreciated his honesty in helping me to decide whether to have surgery, explaining to me what to expect from surgery, the risks, and that this was a quality of life issue for me. There were two surgeons working on me, Dr. Metson and an eye surgeon. The results were fantastic and I am thrilled that I no longer have constant tearing and thanks to Dr. Metson, I breathe so much better. He made me feel relaxed the day of surgery. Although surgery is scary, I felt I was in excellent hands. Dr. Metson's confidence and demeanor were reassuring to my husband and me. My followup visits with Dr. Metson were excellent. He answered all my questions and reassured me about something revealed on my CAT scan that had worried me. He has a busy practice but I never felt rushed. I highly recommend Dr. Metson.

I have had 2 surgeries by Dr. Metson. His expertise is the only physician that has given me sinus relief. Overall, his rating is excellent. His wait in the office is long, but whenI needed an emergency visit, I was seen the next day, so I don't mind the wait. He is the only physician that I would see for my problem.

After TWO surgeries which were only modestly helpful, my regular ENT doctor referred me to Dr. Metson. I am so thankful for him that he did that. Dr. Metson is a kind and caring doctor, and exceedingly helpful. My condition is recurrent, so the best I can hope for is about five years of comfort. But Dr. Metson is a pleasure to work with, and the level of confidence I have in him is unmatched by any other doctor I've seen.

I recently had sinus surgery performed by Dr. Ralph Metson.I have suffered for over 10 years with sinus related issues. I have heard horror stories about sinus surgery so I was always hesitant to have it done. When it got bad enough I met with Dr. Metson. I found Dr. Metson to be very professional, sincere, accurate (in diagnosis and treatment) compassionate and more than qualified. I cannot say enough good things about this experience and Dr. Metson. The surgery was not painful just uncomfortable from the packing and swelling. The packing was taken out the next morning and that was not painful. My recovery was about a week and a half and I have never been better.Dr. Metson did say that the surgery would make significant improvements in the quality of my life and he was absolutely right. I have never been or felt better. I don't even think about the headaches anymore. I felt a certain duty to reach out to other sinus suffers and let them know how much the surgery can help, and… how wonderful Dr. Metson is. He has perfected his craft and has made such a difference in my life as a mother and a wife.I know that others have posted their disapproval with the wait time in his office. I look at it differently...you want the doctor that you have to wait for. He gives you the same courtesy that he is extending to someone else and he is worth the wait. You will only have to be seen a few times so just plan for it. Not a big deal. I do not remember all of their names but the other doctors at the Mass. Eye & Ear that work with Dr. Metson were also wonderful. I felt very well taken care of.

Dr Metson is absolutely the kindest, most considerate doctor I have ever had in my life. At my first consult with him, he very patiently went over every detail of my surgeries, answered all questions, and never made me feel like he was in a rush or annoyed with me. At both of my surgeries he made it a point to come and see me PRIOR to being anesthetized, and really made me feel comfortable and very at ease. I couldn't find a bad word to say about this man if I tried. The results of both surgeries were better than I had hoped for, and I would go back to him in a heartbeat if I need anything else done.

This doctor made my nasal condition worse than before the surgery. Everyday I live with pain, poor nasal function and anxiety. It has been months since my surgery and my condition is not good. Stay away.
