Dr. Ralph S. Mosca, MD

He was very rude and I cannot believe he is a certified congenital disease surgeon. My ASD was large and it needed surgery and not a catheter unlike most procedures and in going over open heart surgery he was very dramatic in reviewing the process. He says it will leave a large scar and a plastic surgeon cannot fix it and throws his arms up saying “women get so uppity about a scar on their chest!” He is the first heart surgeon we meet and is like “I can’t believe no one went over with you what an ASD is and I have to explain it”. You’re the surgeon and need to go over the pictures. And he promises he’ll show the pictures to the catheter lab even though he thinks they’ll say no. After our meeting we don’t get a call back about scheduling surgery and no news from the catheter lab. Finally, I meet an actual adult congenital interventionist and he says he can do a catheter even though my ASD is large and one of the specialist is at NYU. So Dr. Mosca never followed up with his own… department and did not do his job as a doctor.

Today we are Thankful once again to Dr. Mosca for his divine hands and skills, we were Faithful he would execute spectacularly to give us back our Princess, Valerie as whole as possible, this was Valerie's third surgery for the congenial heart defect, Aortic Stenosis. Dr. Mosca performed all three surgeries and we could not be more than grateful, he is a professional, caring giant in his field, if your child is in need of heart surgery, we recommend you look him up. My son was born with tetralogy of fallot. Dr. Mosca performed the repair surgery when he was only six weeks old. I'll never forget Dr. Mosca coming out to tell us that the surgery was successful and walking us through everything. That was thirteen years ago and my son is as healthy as he could be. I'll always be indebted to Dr. Mosca.

Dr. Mosca performed open heart surgery on my husband to remove a muscle bundle in the right ventricle of his heart. We were advised to use a pediatric surgeon since my husband was born with the condition. The surgery was a complete success. Dr. Mosca is not only extremely talented but also a caring and compassionate doctor. Everyone on the staff at NYU Langone Medical Center was professional, attentive and highly-qualified.

He performed an open heart surgery on my daughter when she was one month old and he made sure my baby was out of pain and did his best to leave minimal scar. The surgery was a success and he was able to fix all the issues on her heart.

I saw him 11yrs ago and he treated me and my daughter very good no complaints.

Dr. Mosca has performed two open heart surgeries on my 15 month old. She still has one more surgery to go and we wouldn't want ANY other doctor to do it! Dr. Mosca is absolutely the best! Our baby is doing so well and Dr. Mosca made us feel comfortable with every surgery he performed. He is very precise, confident and reassuring! Thank you Dr. Mosca for being so thorough and approachable! I highly recommend him!

6 1/2 years ago Dr. Mosca and team performed arterial switch operation on our new born son (who had TGA). Dr. Mosca was brilliant from out first meeting to the last. Our son is a very healthy wonderful 6 2/2 year old. I couldn't imagine life without him. Thank you Dr. Mosca.

Dr. Mosca is an amazing surgeon. He is approachable and has a great beside manner. He explains all procedures in great detail and on a level parents can understand and feel comfortable with. Although the procedures and surgeries are all high risk, his confidence, expertise, professionalism and follow up all help to put the caregiver's mind at ease. I highly reccommend this surgeon to any family faced with congenital heart defects.
