My mom suffers with sleeplessness for many years now. After multiple doctor consideration we reached her. Within 30mins appointment she never took a minute get details from mom properly. Had no patience, was very rude with mom. Horrible!!!

She may be smart in a research setting, I don't know. But in an in-person office setting, she was not helpful at all. I've been struggling with insomnia for decades and all she could do was print out basic sleep hygiene rules (that I could have googled myself and I have, many times-- they don't work-- that's why I was seeing her!!!). She is anti-meds too and will not prescribe any. She was mad at me for taking meds. Also, she wouldn't admit me for a sleep study because "I didn't have sleep apnea or restless leg syndrome." Huh???

She was an automoton. Disinterested. Didn't listen and was unhelpful. The worst physician interview I've ever had. She needs to stay in the lab and away from patients. And broaden her views.

After waiting more than an hour she told me I have insomnia. Wow, thanks. Do not waste your own money, your insurance or most valuable, your time. Visit someone else or ask your regular doctor for Ambien.

After 4 months of visits, behavioral therapy, sleep diaries and one perscription I still can't sleep. There's a reluctance on her part to try different medicines. I CAN"T SLEEP and she seems to not care.

Dr Gourineni is arrogant. It is obvious that she does not like people but that she likes to exert power on them. She obviously does not practice medicine for the good reasons.
