I am sorry to read online about Dr. Velamati's office's billing error issues. Hopefully, if these issues are true, they have been resolved. When my daughter was born prematurely (11 weeks early), Dr. Velamati saved my daughter's life, and I watched him save many other babies' lives as well, since I was in the Neonatal unit every day for six weeks. He is an amazing man, doing amazing work. God blessed us by bringing us to Dr. Velamati. Back then, the hospital handled all the billing, letting Dr. Velamati save patients' lives, rather than having to spend time to handling insurance billing management.

This Doctor was involved for the care of my son when he was born in 2017. He charged the insurance separately from the hospital for $ 14,000. His office kept calling me and sending me mail threading me to send the debt to collection. They did a terrible job on sending the claims to my insurance so they didn’t get paid and then they bothered me for more than a year now. Even though the insurance ended up paying them. They keep sending me letter threatening me that not the whole amount was pain and I need to pay 4,000 . I’m in the process of finding a lawyer to see if I can sue them. Please please please be careful who is involved in your care. I had no idea he is not part of the hospital staff.

The insurance billing staff at his office are nothing short of professionally incompetent, they have billed me for 9 months for a “specialist” office visit while using a “generic” office visit code. BCBS red flagged the doctors office right away and I’m still trying to get them to correctly bill insurances I’m now threatened with collections because of an incompetent office admin who isn’t properly trained to bill insurance. Next stop is the IDFPR to file a professional complaint against the business license in an attempt to get them to properly bill and stop the harrassment. The doctor must be loosing tens of thousands of dollars by billing errors from one person and they won’t listen

Absolutely the best doctor you could ever have! He litterally saved our baby's life. So carring! We will be greatful to him for the rest of our lives.
