Dr. Rambabu Tummala, MD

I recently had a family member who saw Dr. Rambabu Tummala. She was scared and confused and had been newly diagnosed with cancer. She understandably and rightfully had several questions regarding her test results and treatment plan; not just with regards to the cancer itself, but potential complications from a lesion and cysts found on two other organs. Rather than listening to her concerns, addressing her questions, and patiently explaining the findings and potential treatment plan, Dr. Tummala dismissed her as overly emotional because she became tearful during the appointment. He basically told her to shut up and stop asking questions because she was worrying too much and was going to “give herself a heart attack”. I’m hoping he was having a bad day because if that is the way he routinely treats his patients; I’m surprised he's still in practice. The one thing that came of her visit with him that I’m grateful for is the referral he made to Moffitt Cancer Center where hopefully she… can get the kind of compassionate care she deserves.

Great bedside manner, easy to understand, takes the time necessary to answer questions - and my mom likes him a lot!

Dr. Tummala is a very, very competent doctor. He is very straight forward. He tells you exactly what is going on. My husband felt comfortable with his explanation of his small cell lung cancer. He does not sugar coat things.

As a professional i fufll appreciated his direct aproach to both the examination and his one on one discussions regarding my curent and future health situition. His direct approach to examination and followup medciation was greatly appreciated. and has been effeciantly assistimg me in regaining my health. Excellent physician and one that I wlll continue to rely on.

Dr Tummala is a great doctor. Always direct and thorough and to the point. He is knowledgeable and caring and helpful . He was able to relieve the pain very quickly by administering Chemotherapy soon after the diagnosis. Very pleased with him and his wonderful staff as well.
