Imagine having a major surgery done on you and the doctor performing the surgery not even bothering to meet you prior to or after your surgery. Well, this was my experience with Ramesh C. Ramanathan. Thank God for all the doctors and staff at the Pittsburg VA medical center.

I had two problems that needed surgery. Dr Mansuria ask if I would see Dr Ramanathan and I said yes. He was a wonderful caring Dr and he let me make my own decision about surgery. I am thankful I chose him. He did a colon resection and I had an amazing recovery. Little pain. I would highly recommend him. One office girl needs to be replaced. The one doing the vitals when you enter. Very cold and snotty !

I had a very serious operation and he was completely condescending after the procedure. Since I was admitted to the hospital via the emergency room I could not select a surgeon. As a matter of fact, his residents when visiting with out him went out of their way to have great bedside manner.He showed no care about my recovery and never responded to my concerns about recovery. He dismissed my questions and my familys questions. I would not recommend him.
